Publisher's Summary

When psychic Theresa Crawford's former beau walks into her New Orleans New Age shop, she senses trouble. Big trouble. Max Lamoreaux hasn't come to discuss their relationship, the private investigator is on a case, and he needs Theresa's help.

Max's godson is missing. The police have declared Tommy a runaway, but Max's gut tells him otherwise. While he's highly skeptical of Theresa's abilities, her visions provide the only clue as to who's taken Tommy. The longer Max works with Theresa, the harder it is to resist his desire for the sexy woman.

As they inch closer to finding Tommy, Max and Theresa also discover that time hasn't diminished their powerful attraction. But Theresa harbors her own dark secrets from her past. Secrets that broke them up before, and could drive them apart again, unless Theresa can learn to trust Max with everything....

A good solid read with interestng characters

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I already have!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Desperate Choices?

The growth of the characters through out the book. Even how total strangers thrown together caused them to care.

What aspect of Tiffany Cole’s performance would you have changed?

Perhaps been more ..animated...not sure, really.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The love scene. I love how he understood what she needed.

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend this book.

Terrible narrator

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I haven't finished it yet and I am not sure I will. I dislike the narrator that much

How did the narrator detract from the book?

She sounded like a total amateur. Not very professional.

Was Desperate Choices worth the listening time?

If it was done by a different narrator, perhaps.

Any additional comments?

I may go buy the paperback. I don't think I can tolerate the narrator any longer and I am only to chapter 3.

Good pacing

The author does a good job with the pacing of this story; we have long-buried secrets revealed, the perspective of both protagonists, and multi-character input in the ongoing situation all in the same kettle. Keeping all that together into a harmonious storyline took some talent for pacing and storytelling. Without revealing anything, we get a good insight into all these characters, and yet despite that there is still some dramatic tension.

Corny..

My first impression was this story was written for a young audience, then a Christian audience, but then there were the badly written sex and the ghost whisperer....so I have no idea what is going on. But this was a bad choice for me, and that is the nicest thing I can say.
