The world is nothing like Mya remembers. While in Ernisi, cities have been bombed and burned in an attempt to stop the hellhounds and the plague. The survivors are doing everything they can to win back their world from the hell that was unleashed with the first quake.

One of the best books I have EVER read!

I FLEW through all three books available on audio thus far and I can't wait for more to join. Drav and the other fae were so creatively developed. I love all the characters. It is dramatic, suspenseful, romantic, and scary all at the same time. Please, do yourself a favor...if you are into paranormal and/or end of the worldy, sci/fi, fantasyish type of books...don't walk but run and get yourself a copy of this book. I prefer audio but read it or listen to it...either way, it is a really great series.

Mya and Drav forever!

I loved this story. This story was entertaining and suspenseful. The characters were interesting and relatable.

Mya awakens to a world that has changed enormously while she was in Ernisi. While trying to stop the plague and the hellhounds, the cities have been bombed. There are fewer resources to be found and the infected are getting smarter or evolving as they try to get to the survivors. The two criminals from Ernisi are also a challenge for the survivors. With the help of the dark fey, Mya and Drav are going to try to save what's left of the world.

There are tons of feels with this story. I've read it multiple times and I STILL cry! I love Mya and Drav. Have to admit it, I want to keep Drav for my new book boyfriend! The protectiveness, the love, the devotion all adds up to a guy that doesn't want to lose the best thing he's ever had. Mya and Drav are so sweet together and I love that the other fey are learning more about what they never knew they were missing. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book. Or listening to it! I have the ebook as well as the audible book and I love them both!

4 stars — In general I loved the way Mya and Drav’s story resolved. There were definitely moments where I wanted to slap Mya…okay, a lot of moments (*cough* Ryan supply run *cough*). But I loved seeing the Dark Fae learn about human customs and adapt to our world. They were so earnest, you couldn’t help but love them, even as they made me LAUGH AND LAUGH with their obsessive focus. Some of those conversations just killed me, I can’t even.

I actually really appreciated the way a bunch of little threads were brought back in, including the exiles. I didn’t expect that, but I really loved what these authors did with that.

Again, as with the previous books, the love story is probably something I shouldn’t have fallen for, but I totally did. It’s not a normal relationship, especially since it had a bit of stockholm quality to the beginning, but I just really loved the way they desperately loved and cared for one another. It was addicting. And sometimes it’s kind of nice to let go of realism and just accept what you’re given.

I also really fell in love with quite a few of the other Fae, and am actually really excited that there are spin off books for each one I loved the most (Ghua, Kerr, and Shax). I can definitely see wanting to read their books, though a part of me wants to wait to see if they get made into audiobooks b/c Ms. Rosenberg really did grow on me as a narrator. Decisions decisions.

So yeah. I will admit that there were parts that felt kinda hokey, but in the end I was sucked right into the world and compelled to keep reading. That’s success right there.

Good but MC is a little Mary Sue

I love this series, including this book, but at this point in the series the female MC becomes too perfect. She's a college student at the beginning of the series, living in the dorm, but somehow 'knows' why things happen, how to strategize and is comfortable leading an entire race of Fae warriors through the new post apocolptic world.

Still recommend!

Dara Rosenberg is a fantastic narrator.

I am sad to see Drav and Mya's story end. Dara Rosenberg did a phenomenal job creating this post apocalyptic world and bringing these characters to life for me. She invoked emotion and love for a questionable race from the beginning. Through Rosenberg the story played out before my eyes,

The beginning of a new world

Mya and Drav bring it home in this last book of the series. The intensity of all the characters as all the survivors are brought together kept me glued. I've totally fallen on love with all the Fae members as they traverse the journey of being topside. I will definitely be on the lookout for more works from M.J. Haag and Becca Vincenza.

Dark Faye with end of days for humans zombies twist

It had a unique spin on End of Days twist with zombies but if I had to listen to the main character cry anymore about her family and her problems, I wanted to scream... I want to love it but 3 books to finally end the search for her parents is crazy. This series just needed something more besides a grown women looking for mom and dad the whole time. Performance was good so there’s that.
