Cartel vs Body Guard

Kyle works for Walker Security. He's a sexy 6 foot plus alpha male that has been looking for Cara's sister Myla for over a year. Myla has been considered dead, but she's really the victim of a drug lords plot to use her and her skills for human trafficing and money laundering. When Kyle is hired to be a body guard for Myla he had no idea she was alive. Now Kyle and Myla have to work to get Myla out of the drug lords clutches and safe the girls that have been sold into slavery at the same time.
The narration is good, and I enjoyed the story. I still enjoyed Ella's story in Whispered more, but this one was ok too.

Riveting

This kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire story. I’ve read many of Lisa Renee Jones books and this is one of her best.
I pray this story also brings light to human trafficking which is an insidious blight in the dark underbelly of our world.

Action packed romance!

Yeah, the story is a bit predictable but, aren’t most romances. It’s still a fun listen and the bad guys get what’s coming to them, so....what’s not to love?
The narration was awesome. I fell in Love with narrator while listening to Kristen Ashley’s Rock Chicks series. She’s one of the few women that can do a feminine voice and a convincing Alpha Male voice.

A fast paced story about human trafficking

With human trafficking in the news, this is a timely story. Well writtem, good character development, and intense pressure to write a story that is true to the problem, the author delivers. The audio version adds the extra layer of interest. From the standpoint of a listener of audio books I am a recent convert and appreciate this medium.

Kyle and Maya!

A year ago, Maya was taken captive by Michael Alvarez of the Mexican cartel even if it looks like she didn’t survive. Since then she has tried to earn the trust of Michael as she knows that is the only way that she will ever be able to escape. She trusts no one and that includes the new bodyguard Kyle that has been hired to protect her.

Kyle is an ex-FBI agent and is now works for Walker Security. She is his best friend’s wife’s sister and he is not about to give until he has confirmation that she is dead or alive. He infiltrates the cartel and is assigned as her bodyguard but will she trust him and can she be trusted to keep her silence or both of them may end up dead.

Maya is strong despite her circumstances as she wants her freedom but what she wants more is to protect her sister from the wrath of the cartel. Kyle has been drawn to her in a way he has never felt even before they met and he only wants to protect her. I really enjoyed the narrators performance in particular when the suspense of the story picked up.

Edge of my seat!

I was transfixed with my first book by Lisa Renee Jones. I love romantic suspense and this was a good one! Kyle and Myla's connection was unmistakeable and their chemistry was hot. The story flowed well and I haven't read any of the other books, but I didn't feel lost from the characters. If anything it made me want to know this group more. The writing was suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat. I wanted to see more of the kingpin and how he interacted with Myla and I thought the ending was kind of abrupt, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story. Good read!

I thought the narrators did a great job bringing this world to life. They added a lot to the story!

Awesome!

This novel is a great start to what I expect will be a riveting series. The action and plot kept me on the edge anticipating what would happen next. I'm looking forward to seeing all these main characters in the next novel in the series.

Deep Under seemed short. I felt it needed more substance. I did enjoy the performance.
