Space bounty hunter, alien romance

Wow, this was a surprisingly good sci-fi novella with action, star wars, and yes, hot alien nooky, all packed in with amazing cohesion and decent dialogue. For a free Audible Escapes listen clocking in at under three hours, I was just hoping for campy alien romance. And I got that for sure, with two explicit couple sex scenes and a solo session; the space bounty hunter, competitors to lovers, storyline sizzled at light speed. The path to HEA also wove in an emerging alien war and a story that I almost wish was done in a full length novel.

Yes, I did some eye rolling, and I found myself counting the number of times Brielle felt things in her core in that first sex scene (at least half a dozen). But, overall, this was sexy, good times with a tattooed green alien hunk. I also loved that Brielle and bestie Danika were smart, capable lady veterans and not just damsels in distress. Yep, I like my gals and my guys to be alpha ass-kickers. I will definitely check out the author’s other books.

Hollie Jackson is one of my favorite narrators, especially for campy, fun, hot alien romance. If you enjoyed her narration, consider the Ice Planet Barbarians series by Ruby Dixon. First six books in that series are free borrows in Audible Escapes- and those are the best of the series.

Deadlocked is a Science Fiction Romance Novella based on a very strong willed, stubborn young woman by the name of Brielle Connors. Brielle works as a security officer for the high profile Cavalier Security Corp. She's dating her boss Haakon, and has a crush on the handsome Tulan Bounty Hunter, Finn. When Brie isn't working her day job, she often stops by to see if she can score a side job with a little more action than her day job provides, like actually hunting down bad guys and not just being a security escort for the wealthy politicians. All is well in Brielle's world until the one day when she sets her sights on the biggest score yet, catching a wanted killer for more money than she has ever been paid in her life! Will Brie survive the hunt for Grafton Neel, her boyfriends wrath, or the sexual tension between her and Finn?!

So Brie is human, and so is her man Haakon. They have been together for a while but have no intentions on making any serious commitments to each other. It sounds like to me the foundation of that relationship was not that strong. So when Finn was introduced as a love interest I was very excited about it! Haakon didn't come across as a very loving or affectionate guy, and Finn was all about the romance of it all. The action in the story was great! I felt like I could have been watching an episode of any of my favorite sci-fi shows! Reading on as Finn and Brie fought to catch the big game first and fall into a whole new kinda mess was very entertaining. The unexpected twist in the story that forever changes Brielle was well played, and I loved the ending! The side characters were great, the foreplay was hot, and the adventure was priceless! This is a must read for any lover of science fiction romance!

The narrator was spot on for this book and character, I absolutely love her!

It was fun and funny no violence, more of a space romp. Yes wars are mentioned, but they are there but not here now in your face.

I loved the scene where he saved her life by reciting a marriage vow.

Really enjoyed this short novella. It was a good Monday morning listen great way to start the week, would have been a great book to listen to on a cold evening snuggling with your honey in front of a nice fire.

Really enjoyable

I wasn't sure what to expect with all the sci-fi but I was very entertaining really joyed the mix of sci-fi romance and sometimes comical points.
Narrator ( Hollie)was easy to listen too and a wonderful asset to the story.

Smoking hot sci-fi!

I loved this story! It borrows elements of sexy (smoking hot) romance, space epic, and science fiction. This is the first book I've ever read by this author, but it won't be the last! Hollie Jackson did a phenomenal job with the voices! I highly recommend it! I received a promotional code from the author

Amazing!

Wow! Hollie Jackson did an amazing job narrating this story. I was already impressed with the story, having already read the ebook. I really love this story. I've always loved Sci Fi and steamy romance. Put together, with amazing writing, it leads to the perfect book. Lobby Sinclair did a fantastic job with this story. She reminded me why I love Sci Fi so much. I hope to read much more about Brie and Finn. Hopefully soon, hint hint ;-)

Great space adventure.

I wasn't sure I was going to like space adventure and it turned out I loved it. Bree was just looking for a little extra work to make some money to pay off her ship. That's when things went wrong. Finn was part of her problem and then became more.
This story kept you going so that you could find out what was next. I enjoyed the banter between Bree and Finn and of course they were hot together. Can't wait for more from Libby.
Hollie did a great job with the narration. It is hard to do male and female and make it flow, but she did a good job.
