Publisher's summary

Susan Michaels was once the hottest reporter on the Beltway Beat until a major scandal ruined her life and left her writing stories about alien babies and Elvis sightings. Life as she once knew it is over, or so she thinks until she gets a lead on the biggest story in town: The Seattle Slayer. She heads to the local animal shelter, expecting a tip on the latest rash of killings. Instead, she gets a story about the mayor feeding citizens to a ring of vampires. Yeah, just another day in her life.

Then she gets talked into adopting a cat she's allergic to. Her first thought is to neuter the cat. But when he turns out to be a gorgeous shapeshifting man who claims to be an immortal vampire slayer she thinks: not so fast. Next thought: seek professional help.

Susan doesn't know what to believe, but as she's drawn into a paranormal world, she comes to realize that the story that could bring her credibility is too unbelievable to expose. Now it's no longer a question of bringing the truth to her readers, it's a matter of saving lives and souls, and her only ally is a man she's allergic to.

In the world of the Dark-Hunters, it's always dangerous. But never more so than when one very human woman can shatter their entire world with just one story. The only question is...will she? Dark Side of the Moon is full of Sherrilyn Kenyon's trademark sexy humor and breathtaking imagination.

Love in vein: listen to another Dark-Hunter novel.

Love DH series, not this version of this book

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

So I love the DH books and I love Sherrilyn Keyon work, but this book (or this version) was just painful to get through. Where was Fred Birman? Gosh, listening to the narrator was like as painful as having someone stick needles in my eardrums just for fun.
Skip the listening of this one, get the book and read it.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

It was a good ending, just painful to get through it. I'm going to return this one.

Would you be willing to try another one of Maggi-Meg Reed’s performances?

No, Maggi-Meg Reed's performance in this book was not so fun for me. Maybe she would be better in another book.

Was Dark Side of the Moon worth the listening time?

Nope, not this version. I'm going to go and read the book just so I can feel in all the blanks left by this listening.

Any additional comments?

Don't do abridge version of your books, Sherrilyn Kenyon, it is a blasphemy to your books and an affront to your readers.

Dark Hunters ♡

I gotta admit, I was a little leery at first when I saw there were only four chapters. Sherrilyn Kenyon has outdone herself again though. It's well worth the read. The story flows from beginning to end.

Great story, can't wait to read more.

It was a fun and exciting step into an unseen underworld of beasts and ancient organizations. I thoroughly enjoyed the first of many to come.

Dark Hunters Rule!

Kenyon's Dark Hunter world grows bigger and hotter with each installment. You can't go wrong with any of her books, and on audio they are even more sexy with the character's accents done with professional narration. *Important to read this series in order*

Audio books should never be abridged

this book really was butchered, Kenyon shouldnt have allowed an abridge book to be released it isnt an acurate depiction of her writing. Also I didnt like this female narrator. STICK WITH THE SAME NARRATOR when you are doing a series. Other than that it was alright!

Bring us an unabridged version, please!

This was one of the first audiobooks I listened to and I loved it. It was a great story. I thought the narator did a great job. Among others it assured I would be hooked on audiobooks. After listening to the unabridged versions of her later books I realized how much I had missed in this book because it was abridged. Now that they're making audio versions of her earlier books in the series I keep hoping they'll come back and remake an unabridged version of this one. I'd gladly buy it! Seems I'm not alone. Is anyone listening?

WOOOW!!!!

This book was the first one that I have ever listened to in this series and now I have to start at 1. I am hooked!!! Where is the unabridged version? This was too short but it was an excellent listen and the narrator was perfect.

Dark Side of the Moon

What I love most of this book is the imposiability of the relationship but the force of two people to look past the apperance and look inside there hearts.
