Welcome back to the Dark Series! Wooo Hooo!

It's been a Carpathian type of day! Not bad at all. First, slight spoiler here, I loved Gabrielle and Aleksei, got a surprise with Trixie and Fane. Wow, two couples in one book. Once I started listening I couldn't put it down. Up until 4am with this one. So glad I didn't have to work today. lol Get the book and listen, if you've been following this series you'll know why it's no less than a 5 star. Phil Gigante and Natalie Ross are 5 stars each by themselves. Phil Gigante ,(O-M-G!) what a voice, sexy and well sexy. lol Great book and great job Audible!

Finally a mature man who wants a mature woman

Being a mature woman myself I am really glad that Christine has decided to have a Life mate for one of the most ancient Carpathians to be a mature woman that's past 55+ years old. so far this is the only one that's has a mature woman be the life mate for one of the Carpathian males it is refreshing and I hope I see more mature women for the rest of the ancient Carpathian. Please continue on this road showing that woman of a mature age also have desires and are still attractive.

I love the storyline

I love the entire series but this one was a bit frustrating, it was more sex than fighting vampires, And very little about Gary's condition which I'm so looking forward to reading more about him, overall overall it's an amazing story the Carpathian people are very intriguing looking forward to more books in the series, Hopefully the next books are more action and less soft porn LOL

fStill surprizes me:

I've always loved all Feehan's books and Waite for them with much anticipation for them. When I red "Dark Promise," I thought "at last the story of my favorite human" The story line passed my expectation, and with her having Gigante and Ross performing it just totally bows the the book out of the water it's so great! I recommend this to all "Dark Series" fans and even to those the haven't read any of Mrs. Feehan before you will totally be hooked to her books. She just keeps getting better.

Multiple love stories

This story starts with the intense sadness of a lost love and then extends into to two tales of two couples. The stories are intertwined and reach a combined climax and end with a resolution.
For the first time, the author weaves in a Dominate /Submissive relationship which I found interesting. I did get a little annoyed with the whining of the submissive but it all worked out, in the end.
This novel seemed to be two novellas that were combined and blended, but it worked. Personallly, I appreciated the combination because most Novellas are not good value, when you compare the cost to the length of story. This story was worth the cost of the credit.

Trixie was such fun, i laughed so hard. I've listened to every book in series . my favorite.. by far...

this story line was a nice change of pace.

l liked the entire premise. The story and the narration. There was not anything that l disliked about the the setup.
