Don't waste a credit on it!!!

What did you like best about Dark Nights? What did you like least?

The explanation on Joie Sanders brother (Joeble's ) blood line.

What was most disappointing about Christine Feehan’s story?

It was a repeat of Dark Descent... Not a new book... Seems to me that you advertised it as new when it was not....

What three words best describe Jennifer Bradshaw’s voice?

Ok

Was Dark Nights worth the listening time?

NO, had already listen to the story and plot on Dark Descent.... Wasted a credit on it

Any additional comments?

Wish I had read the summary in more detail and figured out I was re-buying two books that were on my library..... Will have to be more careful next time....

Liked it except for one thing....

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Christine Feehan writes interesting Carpathian stories and most of the plots change from book to book which helps to keep the series fresh and interesting.

Who was your favorite character and why?

No favorites. I like them all with the exception of the female lead as explained below in "other comments".

Have you listened to any of Jennifer Bradshaw’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. And a very pleasent voice she has.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I usually listen in several sittings due to my own time constraints, and wanting to give the story my full attention.

Any additional comments?

I am a little tired of the female lead characters who are starting to feel more insipid. I would like to see more fire and spice in the lead female character . A little bit of bad would be appreciated for the female to grow into and out of and utilize. Not all of the power and fire should be saved for the lead male Carpathian character. In several of Ms Feehan's earlier books there have been wonderfully complicated and sometimes imperfect female leads who are not always sugar sweet. I get that the females are the light to the male's dark. Yet nothing is all black and all white. I would like a little more stirring of the female's roll. This is of course is mine own opinion. I still enjoy the series and have read each book.

Glad to see this book

If you have already listened to Dark Decent, then you will want to hear this book. It answers some of the questions the short version left and give some much needed information. I hope Ms. Feehan also lengthens Dark Dream.

Great short story

Where to start? I’m intrigued and disappointed with this book. I didn’t know “Dark Descent” so I can’t compare, but I think the author could have explores a little more the Sanders’s family and the cavern since the story begans there… what was that place? Who lived there? Who really is Joie’s parents? Who is the real powerful master’s vampire who threats Them and commanded so many powerful vampires? All this questions were not answered… It’s unfair! However, the story is amazing… very well written and with a good narrative.

Two books in one!

I have copies off both books. Read by others. I'm not sorry I have both copies. They are both stories about strength and honor. I never got tired of reading or listening about honor and true unconditional love with such devotion. Isn't that what every person wants ????

Boring!

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This book was one of the worst Carpathian books I have ever read and I have read all up to this story! Don't waste your money! Quite drawn out and totally lost me on story line!
Has Dark Nights turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, she is entitled to write 1 bad book!

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Jennifer Bradshaw?

Nothing wrong with performance!

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment

Great Listen,

Would you listen to Dark Nights again? Why?

It feels like I have listened to this before, I know I have, although it did not show that I have listened to it before. Not upset about listening to it more than once, just upset about paying for it more than once. This is a good series, except they do not have all the book avalible, and it doesn't show this one in the series.

what?

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A lot of what was bounced around about throughout the story could've been covered in the prologue.

What was most disappointing about Christine Feehan’s story?

It was not a stand alone book. Clearly a series. So, you must buy them all or be left wanting.

How could the performance have been better?

She is an awesome writer. This series is setup as a sort of treasure hunt. I'd like to see it written more like a meal; with definite satisfaction after every course. If I feel myself getting full, I can always skip a course (or book) without it ruining my meal.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Dark Nights?

If I were editor, I'd be more selective in handing out time and content on biography of every single character.
