The Missing Link

If you have been following Ms. Feehan's series to this point - you already know some of the data here - however - there are two points in this story that are found no-where else.

Point one - in a place where Carpathians live a very long time - WHERE were all the older Carpathians? The oldest we saw before this is Michail & Gregori, And they HAD to originally have had a fuller culture - which had not been shown to date.

Point two - Carpathians love children. ALL children. How many men that most of US know would be so careful NOT to hurt even the worst little punk trying to mug them?

Also - I feel for Vlad. He's saving as many as he can - but - it's costing him dearly in pain.

I can't wait for Dark Hunter (Next book in this series - Due out September 2009.) It sounds like a real wild ride!

Excellent Narrator!

Audio books are all about narration for me, I've already read the book and know I like the story before I buy on audio. Eric Michael Summerer does a fabulous job narrating this book, he's just perfect all the way around. What I wouldn't give to have him narrating this whole series!

Great read, short, but you can really get into it!

Another short book, but it's perfect! You get the whole story, you don't feel like you're missing out on anything... wonderful writing! This series is unique because you can start anywhere, but if you start at book 1 and read in order you have a better understanding of the people, but if you only want a quick read you don't HAVE to read the whole series to get a great story!

Great Story

This is one of my favorites in the series, even if it was too short. The narrator is one of the best as far as I'm concerned, I'd like to read more with his narration.

Love each book of the Dark Series

Would you consider the audio edition of Dark Dream to be better than the print version?

I only listen to Audio books. I am an auditory learner and enjoy the freedom of the audio book as I am multi-task person.

What about Eric Michael Summerer’s performance did you like?

Eric did a great job narrator.

More z than zing

To her credit, Christine Feehan has managed to tell this story at least a dozen times without it growing too old to be enjoyed... But nothing lasts forever!
Just when they find a decent narrator to take on the Carpathians, the story gets old fat bald and wrinkled. This is what I call a pity.

If it's your first Dark novel, however, you might enjoy it. If it's your fifth, you already have.

Wonderfully dreamy

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely. It was a delightful change of pace to have one of the heroines eager to take her place with her Carpathian life mate.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved that someone finally read with an accent. Also, I loved the whole story of Falcon and Sara, that she embraced him without hesitation.

What about Eric Michael Summerer’s performance did you like?

LOVED his accents for the characters.

Hooked

Would you listen to Dark Dream again? Why?

Yes. Am now actually!<br/>Because the next book is not available on audio book (number 10 or 11?) and there are times when I have things to do and only an audiobook is possible. i enjoy listening to books when have to use my arms and legs for something else - such as walking, menial housework or driving long distances.

What did you like best about this story?

Steamy sex with a storyline and vampire twist

Which scene was your favorite?

The relief after the battle

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Just feeling the love!

Horrible accent!

I think that I would have enjoyed this book so much more if the narrator didn't give the men such horrific accents! Very unsexy and distracting! Skip this one.

All very similar books - but still a good read

Just finished listening to this one and have listened to a few of her dark series. But you do find them all very similar in format with just slight changes. So part of me is finding them a bit boring now as I know what will happen. This book has introduced a character that I haven't read about yet, so will be interested to read that one. Repetition of you are my life mate etc. is driving me a little insane though.

The Best

I thought the narration for Dark Descent was superb, but this is really excellent - you have to do more! Possibly the novela Dark Hunger? The accents for the Carpathian males, Falcon, Mikhail and Jacques were the best yet. They were given subtle nuances between them that seemed to define them, and actually managed to pronounce the names properly - Gregori didn't end up as Gregory. He really bought the characters to life. Very very enjoyable. Can't wait to see if he does more of the Dark Series - there is another in the pipeline - Dark Slayer. Here's hoping. I would have no problem recommending this title.
