Donna

The story is predictable, but not too boring. There are several books before this one and it would have been better to have read them before this one. But it can stand alone. Not as good as the "Carpathian" novels.

Good. I liked this book.

Dangerous Tides continues the story of the "magical sisters". I enjoyed this book as I have the others preceding it in the series. In this genre Christine Feehan is one of the best at keeping the reader's attention. I am puzzled as always when a series type audio book comes out in the middle of the series. If it is a book I like then I am compelled to go out and buy the other books at the bookstore instead of buying the audio version. Hmmmm.

fun

I download these books to kill time in traffic..anything by Christine Feehan is always fun..we are not talking about great literature but engaging never the less. I wasn't too crazy about the narrator; there seemed to be some odd gaps at wierd times when one was waiting for the rest of a sentence but it was a good story..

TWO AKWARD PEOPLE BUT LOVABLE FOR THE MOST PART,

If you could sum up Dangerous Tides in three words, what would they be?

GOOD NOT GREAT

Who was your favorite character and why?

ALL THE DRAKE SISTER I LOVE WHRN THEY ARE ALL TOGETHER IT MAKES THEM MORE LOVABLE,

What about Alyssa Bresnahan’s performance did you like?

IT WAS A OK PERFORMANCE . EACH PERSON HAS A DIFFERENT SOUND BUT SOME YOU CAN NOT REALLY TELL WHO ITS SHOULD BE INTILL YOU HEAR THERE NAME.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

NO AND SHE TAKES A LOT OF BREATHS THAT YOU CAN HEAR AND A FEW SPOTS STOP ALMOST LIKE YOU HAVE TO CHANGE DISK. BUT IT WAS A GOOD STORY.

Freehan is a one note writer

Freehan is not a very imaginative person. Her books are all very similar with the same angst between the male and female lead, the same lack of understand between them, the same boring pace, the same ridiculous over the top sex scenes and then a little action at the end. The plots are contrived and pretty stupid. She uses ridiculous coincidences to move the story, such as it is, forward. This book follows her usual formal but it should have been so much better. Libby, the Drake sister with the healing gift, featured in this book is one of the more likable sisters and her story should have been much better. Alas, it was a very poor effort by Freehan. I have now read/listened to all the Drake sisters books and the first Shadow Game book. I will not ever bother to listen to or read another Freehan novel. I believe it would be a waste of my time.

Another nice entry in the Drake Sister series

'Dangerous Tides' continues the Drake Sister saga and the reader/listener gets exactly what they expect from the author and the series - entertaining women's fiction with a light mystery and erotic romance.

As a romance reader of long standing, it still is a little disconcerting to hear the loves scenes read aloud. I did hope the person sitting next to me could hear anything from my iPod!

The reader did a nice job - she differentiated the many female characters and gave the male characters enough strength without going overboard. If you have never listened to the reader, I would definately recommend her as well as the Drake Sister series.

loved this book

I really enjoyed this book I liked the story line of how close the sister are
but I must say the book leaves you hanging about the cure....
but you find out who the bad gie is... at the end.
this is a light book with a fun romance and intriguing sory line with magic and mystery.. you will enjoy this I hope as much as I did, I just wish she would have answered more at the end,

Drink Some Water!!

I couldn't finish this one. I don't know why it was rated so high. The story in OK but most annoying was the narrator. You could hear her mouth sounds while she was reading the book. I couldn't stand it, it was too distracting.

There Seems to Be a Gap

I first listened to Water Bound of the Sea Haven series where the seven magical Drake sisters were mentioned so decided to invest in the 7-book audio series however I can't locate the audio version of book 2 of The Drake Sisters series called The Twilight Before Christmas about Drake sister Kate??? Wondering why this one seems to have been skipped. I keep checking to see if it finally shows up and in the meantime am enjoying the stories of the other six sisters.
