Publisher's Summary

She's here to claim her birthright....

Ex-army sergeant Abby Malloy feels no loss after the father she never knew passes away. Still, part of Ezra Malloy's ranch belongs to her, and if the stubborn blonde has to live there for a year with two half-sisters who are strangers to her, so be it. Nothing could stand in the way of her inheritance... except a local sheriff wrapped in snug blue jeans and a sexy grin.

He's here to claim her heart....

Cooper Wilson, the local sheriff and rancher next door, is having his world turned upside down. Abby is all straight talk and sweet, lush curves - the kind of woman who gets under his skin in just the right way. Whereas Cooper has roots in Palo Duro Canyon, Abby's got wings. But he knows she belongs here. If she can stop running from her past, he'll happily lead her to a brighter future, one hot cowboy kiss at a time.

Every girl needs a cowboy!!!

What made the experience of listening to Daisies in the Canyon the most enjoyable?

the story about the sisters touched me deeply. I have two sister, we aren't close. I think if we ever had to work through tears, fears and hard work as these three did we could be closer.

What did you like best about this story?

During the storm and the cows rushed the house how they pulled together and show the men in the story that they could get the job done without the big strong men.

Which scene was your favorite?

The big bull sitting on the porch and the moonshine scene. BEEN THERE!!!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Cooper asked Abby to marry him. The was the most beautiful scene I've ever read. That scene made me cry, if I'm ever ask that question I hope it's as special. Oh there is nothing like a Southern man!!

Any additional comments?

I was saddened to see that there is only two stories in this series. I'm hoping Carolyn Brown will revisit the canyon again in the future

Not a typical Carolyn Brown book. Disappointing

I first read The Ladies Room and loved the funny and mostly clean story. This book is the opposite. Not raunchy dirty, but not clean clean.
The narrator is great but the overall story was disappointing. The ex-military main character is annoying and insulting to anyone strong enough to be in the military. The narration of what goes through her head is so repetitive at the beginning I thought I accidentally rewound and was listening to the same paragraphs over and over.

Boring

This is not a normal Carolyn Brown book. I could it finish it because the narration was so monotone and dull.

Terrible narrator.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

This narrator needs to read only erotica. She seems to want to be sexy in her reading. Each time I see a book narrated by her since this book I would never purchase it.

What did you like best about this story?

I like the way the story is told. It kept my interest and I wanted to read the rest of the series.

How could the performance have been better?

Talk like a regular person instead of one trying to be a seductress. She ruins the best of books.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

No I stopped listening to the book and read it myself. I got so disgusted with this narrator.

Any additional comments?

Please don't let her narrate any of Linda Lael Miller's books. She ruins them.
