Publisher's summary

Needing to finish her thesis in order to keep her job working with youth in a residential treatment center, Shana Arnold sequesters herself on Creighton Rice’s Nebraska ranch. She expects the secluded hideaway to provide a peaceful environment. What she doesn't expect is to become the victim of identity theft and a crazed home invader.

Creighton Rice has been content to live alone with his God - until he meets Shana. He's drawn to her but must fight the attraction. Getting close makes him face a lifetime's accumulation of scars. Plus, Shana doesn’t share his faith. But when Shana's life is threatened, Creighton must protect her - even if it means letting her in.

Will Shana discover that even when a woman loses everything, she can regain courage and strength through faith in God, and can Creighton allow God to heal scars and open the door to a lifetime with Shana?

A really great book with an interesting story!

I really enjoyed listening to this book other than the voice that was given to Creighton. In order to give a different voice so we would know the difference the narrator gave him a soft almost sexy voice that was kind of irritating as it made him seem weak instead of a strong personality. But even as I say that I guess it could have been done purposely as he is suffering with insecurity in some areas. I found this story very interesting and listened to it straight through. I definitely enjoyed how the author shared his relationship with Jesus not as religious but as a friendship which is what we should all strive for. This story deals with a few different problems that people suffer with but also goes into dealing with identity theft a big problem these days. I really enjoyed this author's writing and will definitely look for more of her work. This story has lots of suspense which keeps your attention and also the budding of a relationship in a natural way not rushed. I would definitely recommend this author's writing to anyone.

Good Story Healing Of Love

Good Christian story, when Shanna goes for some peace and quiet at the ranch, trouble instead came. With a faith to carry her thru and maybe a new love things change . Will Creighton except the healing that the love can bring. Enjoyed the setting and characters.
Good narration, given audio for my voluntary review and my honest
