Publisher's summary

Navy SEAL Maverick Hart has everything. Women want him. Grown men idolize him. The job, the glory - it's all his. Not because it's handed to him but because he works hard for it. The second his sights lock on something, he owns it - or destroys it. Windsor Forbes only takes calculated risks in her profession and in her personal life. After being left at the altar by the only person she's ever loved, the very last thing she's looking for is a relationship - especially the insane brand an arrogant Navy SEAL is offering. Hesitant yet trusting to a fault, she gives in. She knew she shouldn't take the chance, especially a second time, but love is irrational and their love is perfect, infallible - or so she thought. The downfall to having everything is that you have that much more to lose. A man like Maverick can't have it all without something slipping out of grasp.

Loved it Loved it Loved it ..........

Where does Crazy Good rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Honestly this has to be one of the best audiobooks I've listened to this year.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and was worth all the lost sleep.

Any additional comments?

I really loved this book. I think some of the book wasn't detailed enough but in saying that I really liked the story. The way that Stone died was horrible but it shows how people can be affected by war.

Oh boy where do I start. This book took me a while to get into fully. There was nothing really drawing me back to the book other than I don't like to leave a book unfinished. This book had all the ingredients that I love in a book, a hot cocky tattooed man with a large penis, a sassy heroine and great chemistry. But to be honest the male voicer kept throwing me off. I just couldn't get his voice to match with my vision of "Maverick". It wasn't until about the half way point when, I got more engrossed in the story that I just ignored the mismatch and from there it was heaven. I smiled, I laughed, I cried!!! Yes I sobbed like a baby and had to go to the bathroom to hide from my family. Lol
This was a crazy good book but I have to deduct because of the male voicer and it taking me so long to get into it.
(Side note: he is not a bad voicer just didn't seem right for the role of my Mav)

Navy Seal Meets CPA

Maverick is a Navy SEAL who loves a challenge. Tattooed, muscular, sexy as sin – women throw themselves at him and he’s used to getting what he wants. And what he wants is Windsor Forbes so that he can move on to the next one. However, she’s different – she doesn’t fall for his smooth lines and sexy smile. Which makes her much more than a notch on his bed post – she becomes someone he wants to figure out and get to know.

Windsor is a no-nonsense CPA who analyzes risks and liabilities and makes informed, logical decisions. After being jilted by her fiancé after she found out about his cheating ass, she is lacking in her love life. When she meets Maverick all her internal alarms scream “STAY AWAY” but her body wants him. So after his clever persistence, she agrees to go out with him. Thus begins a sweet love story with freaking hot Navy SEAL sex scenes. Excuse me while I go fan myself.

I liked these two. I enjoyed seeing their relationship grow from something physical to something so much more. It was like I got to experience them going through all their relationship milestones – first date, first kiss, first time getting some sexy time, first fight – to their life together as a couple. It was sweet and made me smile.

What I liked most about this book was that it surprised me. From Chapter 1, I never knew what to expect and was continually left not knowing what the author was going to throw my way. I think this is what made me unable to put this book down until I saw how it ended.

This story felt long – it is not some instant romance that takes place over a month or two. The entire storyline spans over a year (not counting the Epilogue). I did feel like the book was a bit too long though. Plot points and scenes were dragged out a bit and I felt like some scenes were fluff and unnecessary to forwarding the plot.

I normally do not read books about men in the military. There really is no reason – for me it’s just that I don’t like reading about a fictionalized version about what our troops go through when they are deployed. However, I made an exception for this book. And as much as I enjoyed this book I did have a hard time reading some of the scenes where Maverick is in Afghanistan. They were sad and heart breaking and bit too much for me to read – but that is just my personal issue. The scenes were written very well and don’t let my personal feelings cloud yours.

Now I need to talk about the last 30% of the book. I had a love-hate relationship with them. This is where all the angst was. My heart went back and forth like a ping pong ball between Maverick and Windsor. They were both completely right, yet both completely wrong. They both made stupid decisions, yet they both tried to redeem themselves. I was frustrated with them both, yet proud of them. All in all these two evened each other out and by the end I was perfectly content with how things ended up.
The Narrators:
I don't see the point in dual narrators unless the male and female narrators read the male and female parts of the story. Having said that Marc Bachmann , Shirl Rae did a good job with the delivery of the story.
Worth a credit, yes! this was a good story with just a few issues.

Good listen!

Male narrator had a creepy voice. Would have liked his character better with someone else. Didn't think I would like it when I first started listening.

I wish there were more in the book.

I am a ROMANCE addict. I will not listen to anything else. But I need more. I need the story to be more than just the relationship. I hope this make sense. This book had NOTHING else happening. I need a murder, or a BIG SECRET, or SOMETHING.

The sad thing is I really liked the characters. I just needed more.

Great Love Story!

This was a great love story! I am so glad I bought this book. I highly recommend it. There were ups and downs but in the end every thing comes together. There was a part in the story that made me cry, it was very hard to get through it. I don't want to spoil it for you but this part will touch everyone who reads this book. It's going to be hard to top this book, but I hope Rachel Robinson continues her great writing abilities and shares it with all of us.

Crazy Good!

I love, love, love this story! The depth of emotion is incredible. It made me both laugh and cry. I loved all the characters also. The male narrator will never be my favorite but everything else about this book was wonderful.

Crazy Good, is!

This story had a nice flow to it, arrogant, cocky Seal, meets his match and falls hard. This story has angst, but it is not contrived and there are no silly misunderstanding. Just honest emotions. I had to Google Rachel Robinson to see if this was the first in a series and it is, but another book is in the works for the Morganna character and I can't wait. But don't worry this is a completed story with a HEA. Buy or credit you'll enjoy this one.

Liked the story but

How cringy is it when the female narrator (who did an excellent job) sounds more masculine when reading the male characters than the male narrator? The male narrator sounded feminine and ruined the tough guy Seal characters. It was just icky.

Crazy Good

Rachel Robinson is a new to me author and I’m kicking myself for not reading her sooner.

This story started with a WTF moment and ended with the most perfect happily ever after. Mav and Win were passionate and their love story was beautiful. I laughed and cried and cheered for the HEA.

I wasn’t a fan of the male narration as I didn’t think it fit with Maverick’s character. But I did enjoy the book nonetheless. I can’t wait to see what is next in store for these characters.
