Publisher's Summary

Billionaire Archer Bancroft always gets what he wants - and he’s wanted Ivy Emerson, his best friend’s sister, for far too long. Being forbidden and untouchable only makes her more tempting. When a million-dollar bet with his friends throws down a challenge - last bachelor standing takes it all - Archer knows he can win. That is, until one enchanted evening with Ivy takes his heart for a ride.

Ivy knows Archer is nothing but bad news: Infuriating, arrogant…and completely intoxicating. But despite her best efforts, she can’t seem to keep away. When a stolen kiss leads to a night of heated passion, Ivy realizes she’s in trouble and in head over heels. But in the light of day, everything seems clearer and Archer’s not so sure a one-night stand is all he wants. Concocting a plan to keep Ivy by his side, Archer might just be willing to lose this bet…and win the jackpot instead.

Performance so poor it distracts from the story

What didn’t you like about Justine Eyre and Will Damron ’s performance?

I understand the logic behind using a male and female voice for the characters but there was no consistency. The book changed POV from chapter to chapter and instead of adding to the story it distracted me from it. For example: Male voice, Female in male voice, than Female voice, Male in Female voice. I understand the book was written this way, but the performance could have executed it better. Mr. Damron's imitation of the lead female was far more tolerable (and preferable) than Ms. Eyre's performance. Ivy's longing for Archer (from her POV) came off as irritating and petulant. This performance put me on edge and I had a headache after the first hour.

Good story but...

What would have made Crave better?

A different narrator for IVY.

Would you be willing to try another book from Monica Murphy? Why or why not?

Yes

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Justine Eyre and Will Damron ?

YES, Will is fine but Justine's voice is like fingernails sliding down a chalkboard. Very rough & nasally.

What character would you cut from Crave?

None

Premise of story good, sexual contact to soon.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Anyone not interested in a story just wanted the sexual content

Has Crave turned you off from other books in this genre?

No I was willing to purchase entire three book series. started to listen but got very disinterested very quickly. i knew the content and results from the beginning

Would you be willing to try another one of Justine Eyre and Will Damron ’s performances?

Justine Eyres readings seem to fit Historical Novels much better.William Damron's reading not my favorite

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment

Good story-bad woman actor

I enjoyed the story but the girl's voice made me cringe. I couldn't stand it but kept listening because of the story line. However, I did like the man's voice.

Short and lame

Very short romance and quick sex. No build up and the girl narrator was annoying. Her voice doesn't match the character. Predicable

Liked it so much, I listened to it twice .

This was steamy but not to bad. It was fast paced and was read well. Something you can listen to in an afternoon.

AWFUL female narration

The story wasn't too bad and the male narration was great, but the female narration...terrible. The voice did not fit the character and sounded too gravelly and whiny. I couldn't finish the novel it was so bad.

It was a quick and easy book

It was an okay story I think because it was so short it was rushed. I liked the characters just wished it had more.

YUMMY! Awesome "Quickie" listen! Enjoyed it!

This book is great for the light quickie listen. Enjoyed the characters and narration. Its not a 5 by a longshot but good for those that like light sex and lots of romance. Me just need a little more hard core for a 5 but enjoyable nonetheless.
