Contemporary Christian Romance
Book Two of the "Grant Us Grace" Series. When Phil Reid became a Christian and stopped drinking, his hard-partying wife Brandi divorced him. Reeling and betrayed, he becomes convinced Christians should never remarry, and resolves to guard his heart. Allison Vasak has everything in her life under control, except for one thing.
Her heart is irresistibly drawn to fellow attorney and coworker, Phil. Though she knows his history and believes that women should not initiate relationships, she longs to make her feelings known. As Phil and Allison work closely together to help a pregnant teen, Allison melts his defenses. But when Brandi discovers Phil's new relationship, she decides that though she doesn't want him, no one else can have him. Can Phil and Allison's love weather the chaos Brandi brings into their lives?

What made the experience of listening to Courage to Change the most enjoyable?
This is the third audible book I have listened to and enjoy the freedom to listen as I do tedious tasks around the house or just sitting and relaxing. The story was wonderfully written with realistic characters.
What other book might you compare Courage to Change to and why?
Elizabeth Maddrey is a great writer and her books are filled with realistic situations and true to life experiences. Her characters face conflict and many of the same situations you and I do and Maddrey handles them from a Christian perspective without being preachy or unrealistic. Her books in the Remnant series are also excellent and have many of the same characters as in this Grant Us Grace series.
Which character – as performed by Teresa Gail – was your favorite?
Teresa Gail did a good job reading this book aloud and giving voice and life to the different characters.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I enjoyed this book and the authors explanation of scripture when it came to the issue of remarriage after divorce.
Any additional comments?
This is the second in the Grant Us Grace series, following Wisdom to Know. It is not necessary to read the first book to thoroughly enjoy this book. I look forward to reading Wisdom to Know, since I enjoyed this book so much. Once you start this book you won’t want to put it down, or stop listening to the audio version.
