Publisher's summary

What if a "Once in a Lifetime" could happen twice? Suffering from a past full of tragedy, Dahlia London's soul has been left completely shattered. Happily ever after is a far cry from reality in her world. But when she is reconnected with her past, the bonds that form are irrefutable. When River Wilde, lead singer of The Wilde Ones, comes back into Dahlia's life, the intensity that fires their relationship combined with underlying feelings that have never died lead her to believe she has met her soul mate. Struggling with confusion as old connections fade and new ones begin, Dahlia's grief begins to lift - but guilt remains. River wants to be the one to mend all that is torn within her. But with a past that is never really gone, can their future survive?

A Mixed Bag...

In the beginning of this book I thought this was going to be way to depressing for me. This story contains a lot of different emotions. Next it was a really long seduction. But after that it was a lot of sex. Not too graphic. The romance is based on the premise there is a "Your Once in a Lifetime." The people are interesting. But the dialog screams YA. I really like intelligent dialog even in a romance novel. I do not care for any story that is single pointed topic, this was ALL about the Him and Her. I got a little bored. The last chapters became more interesting, the ending is definitely a cliffhanger.

Horrible narration!

Would you be willing to try another one of Veronica Meunch and Christian Fox ’s performances?

NO! The narration was so bad I could barely finish this. I bought the e-book version of the second book of this series to find out what happens. I couldn't stand to hear another book by these two narrators.

Did Connected inspire you to do anything?

Yes, not ever listen to these narrators again.

Any additional comments?

The story was ok, not great but worth reading if you have nothing else in line. I wouldn't buy this in audio though.

Very well, written clever story

Great characters. I wish every guy was like River. I love how he loved Dahlia. I loved how they met, separated, and met again.

Don't Expect to Sleep Until You Are Done

I started this one yesterday afternoon and was up all night listening to it. I just could not stop. It is mostly a romance between Dahlia and River and her learning to love again after loss. I usually like my romances light but Kim Karr did a good job with the moving the story along and engaging me with Dahlia's connection to River. There is some mystery to the story as well as you wait for some early story line to play out, but then you get to the end and realize there is a BOOK 2!! I thought this was a stand alone and book 2 would be the story of one of the River's siblings, now I have to decide whether to read the kindle version or wait for the audio book to come out next week.

Either way this one is a great listen.

Overall great story & narration

Any additional comments?

Why am I always late to the party? I knew that Connected had great reviews, my friends loved it, so why the hell did I wait so long to finally read it? I am kicking myself but so glad that I finally found the time to show up.

The narration was done well, I really liked the voice of Dahlia, I think it matched the characters personality perfectly. River's narration while good made him sound a bit older than I pictured him in my head (maybe it was the deep voice) but I still liked that there were the dual voices. Anyway.... as I briefly mentioned above the story was awesome, the characters well thought out, the emotions described perfectly (I may have shed a tear or two), the steam factor was HOT! and the plot which I originally thought would be your typical broken girl fixed by sexy soulful rocker turned out to have so much more depth, heart and one crazy twist.

*****I love the set up**********

Where does Connected rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I would give this book a five star rating, why the author was able to set up a good foundation for book 2 and that was a hell of a cliff hanger at the end!!! makes you really anticipate book 2, which I hope will be coming really soon.

Any additional comments?

I felt the pain at the start of the book, I really did not anticipate that the guy was still alive, even though it was clear that he knew he was gonna die. Also love the reconnection between River and Dahlia, Do I believe in love at first sight, probably not, but I am prepare for the emotional roll a coaster book 2 gonna bring.

An Emotional, Sexy Love Story

This book has it all. It will make you sad, laugh and hot throughout the entire book. This story is a bit like the book “Thoughtless” with a different storyline (no cheating). I really enjoyed it. You will be torn between Ben and River. They are both characters that you want to love. Dahlia has had a life filled with tragedy. The author makes you understand her turmoil and you feel deeply for this character. I will admit that some parts were a bit long as you wait for something to happen but you needed it in order to make the connection between Ben and Dahlia and then again with River and Dahlia. The connection between River and Dahlia is steamy, romantic and sexy. You cannot help falling in love with him. Some parts have you anticipating that something is going to happen and you wait with expectation. There are some twists to the story but it is mostly a love story and then bam you get the big twist. The ending will rock you and I cannot wait to get the second book. I know people don't like cliff hangers. I don't like waiting for audible to get the next book. This is a yes from me. I am glad I listened to the reviewers on this one.

Great Love Story.

Great love at first sight story. From the moment River & Dahlia meet you're cheering for them even though she's with her childhood sweetheart Ben. But when something happens to Ben she has a hard time dealing with everything until River comes back into Dahlia's live. What makes this book so amazing is that it's not just a love story but also a mystery. One that you don't see coming til the end of the book making it truly one of the best books I've ever read.

Connected

Would you consider the audio edition of Connected to be better than the print version?

Didn't read the print version.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Connected?

When she was told what happened to his sister the night they met. I knew the connection at that moment and it drew me in deeper.

Have you listened to any of Veronica Meunch and Christian Fox ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

no, but they're very good!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Connected
