It was great could have been better
Even though I did like the book and the story line. I was a little disappointed with the the voice I think that she sounded to much older than the 19 year old the character was. I would still recommend this book , even though that part I didn't like.

Great series! Awful narrator!!!
I struggled the entire box set because of the person reading the books. If I hadn't enjoyed the story so much I would have been done before 1st book was finished.

Such a disappointment and hard to get through!!!
While I was excited to see the author would be narrating, it quickly became a major disappointment. Usually an author is so familiar and intimate with their written words that it's a real treat listening but unfortunately her voice was extremely monotone throughout and there was very little change for the multiple characters. :-(

a thumping good tale
Not just a BDSM tale (with not quite enough explicit sex scenes) but the story of a young woman's maturing, thrilling crime scenes, family dynamics and true love. You'll enjoy it. Even if you don't know if it's a girl or a boy.

Loved the story. Lots of steamy sex!
M.S. Parker is one of my favorite authors, however her narration of the book was just ok. I prefer male and female voices for main characters as I am of an older generation and eyesight is going fast. Good narrators help to visualize the characters and scenes. A wrong narrator can make an alpha male sound like a whip and a female sound whiny or monotone.

was author bored with story?
long and dragged out. would be better if parts were done by 2 voices and not one and if more emotion was shown when reading. and author should not read there own work without putting emotion behind it, makes it seem they were bored even writing the story.
