But there's an even bigger, more vicious creature in the woods - the deadly werewolf who saves her life. Jason is much more than a man, dangerous and intimidating, and Brandi still finds herself wanting every unbelievably sexy inch of him.

When he investigates the desperate screams near his secluded cabin, Jason's shocked to find his own kind hunting a human - but he ends up even more stunned when he accidentally triggers a mating heat in the beautifully lush woman he saved. Overwhelmed with lust, Jason takes her, bites her, binds her to him forever....

Now he just has to break the news to Brandi.

Narration almost ruined it...

This is a classic wolf shifter story, but decent. I did have a few issues here and there but the story is still well worth it. I thought it could have had more action and I that it was too short but the characters are good and I'm curious for stories on some of the co-stars. To me, if I leave wanting more (in a good way), you deserve 4 stars. I will also say that the first love scene between Jason and Brandi was really good and for that alone it would be worth a token.

I do, however, have big problems with the narration; so much so that it nearly ruined the whole experience. All of my problems are wrapped up in two things. First, I do not like her male voices and there are a lot of them in this book. They feel super forced and weak. Secondly, the southern accent was driving me CRAZY. Why do they all have a southern drawl when the story takes place in northern California!? And, it's not a great southern drawl. It, too, seemed very forced. The narration seriously started to grate on my nerves after awhile and made it hard to continue.

4 Claimed Stars

I have to say I wasn't really sure what I was getting into. I am a huge Laurann fan; one clicking this baby was a must.

Normally I don’t like the kind of romances where the heroine falls for the hero so fast.
But you can tell with Brandi that she was kind of living in limbo after her divorce.
Being kidnapped and almost killed really puts things into perspective and she goes with the flow. Sure she is freaked out I think that’s what I like best about her character she was freaked out but she was level headed.

I kind of like that Jason went on pure instinct when it comes to Brandi, his thoughts and head don’t factor. And he does deal with the consequences after the fact.
I kinda loved that about him, I also kind of loved his pack and how they are all a little alpha but come from a good place.

I can’t wait to see more of this series. I think the 2 authors really bring a new and fresh series to life.

Loved the narration as well, it was a first for me by this narrator and she does a great job.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Need to Get Me One of Them Wolves

Any additional comments?

Very good shifter romance.

I'm a huge Laurann Dohner fan, fair warning, this review may be biased by that.

This was a different type of storyline for Laurann. It was a more standard story than she normally writes, but it was still a great story. This is a true shifter book, it contains the type of characters and situations I expect in this genre. There are some differences from standard shifter behavior, rules, and interactions with humans. I thoroughly enjoyed the story. It caught my attention and kept it throughout.

The narration by Jessee Foudray was very good. It started out somewhat slow, but that got better quickly. I noticed that this was produced by a different company. Her books are usually produced by Audible. That may have had something to do with the slow reading. Overall, Jessee's voice worked well with the story. I stayed interested through the book and never had to work to listen.

The primary characters in the book have some depth. Near the end of the book, we learn new information about Brandi that was not hinted at prior to that time indicating that we will see more of her in the coming books. In addition to the two main characters, we get peeks at the Alphas' personalities. I expect, based on prior reading of Laurann's books, that we will learn a lot more about the pack and it's members as the series progresses.

Overall, I strongly recommend this book. Worth a credit or purchase.

Thanks
PJ

Hot and Horny Wolf Shifter

While hot and horny werewolf may seem like an oxymoron, I felt it needed saying. Jason is a "Where's mine?" kind of werewolf and lucky for Brandi, hers was there waiting to rescue her. This is a good first book in what I hope to be another intriguing paranormal romance series by Laurann Dohner. This book has many of the typical tendencies you expect in a werewolf romance but the story is exciting enough to keep you interested. I am truly looking forward to other books in this series.

The narrator was mostly good but I like my strong males to have deeper voices. And what was with the southern drawls in northern California? Maybe that will be explained later.

Definitely worth the reduced price I paid. I plan to purchase other books in this series when released.

.....More Of The Same.

May Contains Some Spoilers;
I love all types of romances, and PNR are among some of my favorites, especially shifter stories. Normally shifter stories have a few things in common, a strong alpha male, an instant love connection, matings, pack politics, and Claimed was no exception. What I found unique about this shifter story was the physical reaction between the H/h from an accidental exchange. This physical reaction really enhanced the attractions, and chemistry that already existed between the characters. While their was an instant attraction between Jason and Brandi, I never really felt it as the listener. The sex scenes were steamy, and I liked Jason really protected Brandi from both the rival pack, and his pack. We do get to learn a little bit about pack, and some of it's members, but I really wanted to hear and learn more. If this turns into a series, I would listen to another book.

This is the first time I listened to Jessee narrate, and I thought her performance was good.

Overall, this was a decent, enjoyable shifter story. I would recommend to my friends who love PNR; however, I would suggest buying on either on sale or whispersync deal.

Enjoyed being taken away with the story

I loved this story and enjoyed every minute of the stories. The narrator was great I loved her tone and speed she was reading. I can't wait for the next book by these authors.

UNDERWHELMED

As a HUGE Laurann Dohner fan, I was not expecting this story to be as dull as it was. The narration didn't help either, making this a really mediocre listen. The overall premise is relatively basic--human meets paranormal, and love blossoms, etc. etc., but the characters weren't that interesting, the jokes fell flat, and not even hot sex could salvage things. I don't know anything about Kele Moon, but, Laurann Dohner can, and has done much better. I'll give the next book a try, maybe there's redemption in this series' future but I can't say I would recommend this to other listeners at this point. Save your credits.

I loved it!

I am a big Lauranne Dohner fan so any book she collaborates on has to be good. With that being said I can't wait for Kele and Lauranne to do it again. I like the joint alpha team. I like the element of a BBW /CURVY heroine and the hot passionate mating scenes that are somewhat tender as well as primal. Good narrator too!

Enjoyable Listen

Would you consider the audio edition of Claimed to be better than the print version?

Listened to this book, narrated by Jessee Foudray. I thought she did a fine job. Glad I didn't go by the reviews about the narrator. I enjoyed this book.

Would you be willing to try another book from Kele Moon and Laurann Dohner ? Why or why not?

Hoping for this series to continue. I'm hoping more books are coming. I have many species and all cyborg books by Laurann Dohner, so was happy to add anther to my library.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen in one sitting.
