Publisher's summary

There's nowhere better to spend the holidays than with New York Times best-selling author Susan Mallery in the town of Fool's Gold, where love is always waiting to be unwrapped....

Noelle Perkins just got a second chance at life, and she intends to make the most of every minute. That's why she ditched a frustrating legal career to open her own store in Fool's Gold, California. The Christmas Attic celebrates everything that's magical about her favorite season. Business is booming, and as a bonus, gorgeous army doctor Gabriel Boylan has offered to help out during the holiday rush.

Gabriel's memories of Christmas past contain more sour grapes than sugarplums, thanks to a drill sergeant father who ran his home like a boot camp. Spending the holidays with his family while he recuperates from injury sounds as appetizing as last year's eggnog. Still, there are some enjoyable distractions in town, including sunny, sexy Noelle…and the red-hot mistletoe kisses they can't stop sharing.

Gabriel didn't think he was made for happily-ever-afters. But when fate hands you a love as sweet and surprising as this, only a fool could refuse....

An excellent listen.

I've enjoyed the entire Fool's Gold series and 'Christmas on 4th Street' was no exception. It has all the chemistry, plot, pathos and engagement typical of Susan Mallery. Well worth the credit!

Typical Susan Mallery

This is another typical Susan Mallery book. Same formal as the rest. Girl mets guy, guy likes girl but doesn't want a "relationship" plans to move on soon, but they sleep together any ways (FWB) and by the end of the story it is happily ever after.

Cute and sweet and heart warming. Great little holiday listen.

Perhaps the most boring Fools Gold book ever!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The characters were so blah. The story had been told many times before.

Would you ever listen to anything by Susan Mallery again?

I enjoy most of Susan Mallery's books so I'll listen to others probably, but probably not another Christmas one. Too cheesy. The weddings were ridiculous.

Would you be willing to try another one of Tanya Eby’s performances?

All of Tanya Eby's men have a kind of Yogi Bear sound to their voices. Very annoying.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It was shorter than a lot of audiobooks.

A lovely light read

Bought this book around the winter season and looked forward to every car ride because of it. It's a very enlightening story especially for the holidays. It would be a dream to visit a town like Fool's Gold. The narration was lovely as well, I really enjoyed Tanya's voice and enunciation, very easy on the ears. Highly recommend!
