Publisher's summary

Sheriff Jake McCall is about to break the law. To find a bone marrow donor for his ailing baby girl, he'll hack into WITSEC to track down Maggie Gallagher - the only person who could be a genetic match. Yet by doing so, he is jeopardizing not only his badge, but Maggie's life, as well. Expecting to have to force Maggie against her will, Jake is unprepared for her willingness to help - and for the desire and hunger she arouses in him. Still, those forbidden feelings could make Jake reckless, and losing focus now isn't an option. With time running out and a killer on their heels, Jake has to keep Maggie alive - and give his daughter a Christmas miracle.

Characters come to life!

What does Bailey Carr bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I couldn't stop listening! The story was tremendously exciting, made all the more so by the narrator's specific character portrayals and engaging narration. I really felt like I was hearing all of these characters come to life! The narrator, Bailey Carr, was a tremendous storyteller- she really captured the tone of the book and made each relationship real, relatable and believable. I would definitely recommend this one to a friend!

First purchase

Easy download, good playback quality, really good performance. Thought the running time would be harder to deal with, but it went much faster than I expected. Very happy!

Christmas Rescue at Mustang Ridge

Too many gun fights, not enough intrigue.
Too many characters insisting on face to face meetings. With all of the technology mentioned in the book, not one character thought of video conferencing?

I did not care for this narrator. While her female voices were fine, her male voices were not well done.

The Harlequin Intrigue books would be better without ridiculous sex scenes. They always make me roll my eyes. Readers have imaginations, and if the writers chose to omit the sex, we could fill in the blanks ourselves.
