Publisher's summary

This is a full-length, stand-alone Blackstone Affair spin-off.

Childhood crush... Lifetime love... Never letting go...

Elaina Morrison has loved Neil McManus her whole life. She doesn't remember a time when she didn't love him. Through heartbreaking tragedy and years of separation, her love holds true...until life stomps all over her heart, shattering her perfect dream, teaching her how hard it is to let go.

Real life doesn't have anything on romantic dreams, though, as these two have learned over and over again. It sucks big time, leaving painful scars in its wake. But Neil isn't giving up. He's a soldier who has endured years of longing and sacrifice to wait for his girl. He's fought his way through battles before, and this is one he can't afford to lose, on any level.

Neil has a plan. He's going in fighting to make Elaina see what he already knows - that she will forever be his Cherry Girl.

Romance

This was a new author and narrators for me. I did enjoy the story but found the story moved a little slow in some areas. I liked that the young love got a 2nd chance to become more

Really good story but WORST NARRATOR EVER!!!

the love between Neil and Elaina is such a beautiful one, I really love their chemistry and connection of their friendship which later turn into a strong bond of their relationship. The only, and that is biggest one is the narrators. Both narrators are so bad that I can't even rate them, they turned 5 ☆ story into a 2-3☆. I wish they change the narrators, and if not please put some emotion into the characters instead of the monotone all the time and for the female narrator please put some lower pitch for Neil's voice because 9.5 out of 10 I can't even tell the difference between Neil and Elaina voice.

Excellent story

This story is amazing! I would highly recommend this story for sure! It's about a guy who had a rough life growing up and he is in the military now. He has a great girl he loves but they have a hard time telling each other. When they finally do someone try's to rip them apart right before he leaves for a 10 month deployment. It's a heartbreaker but a story that grips you tight. I love this story all around. The author did an excellent job!!

A good read

Would you listen to Cherry Girl again? Why?

yes

Would you listen to another book narrated by Camme Tyla and James Green ?

James Greens voice is really only suited for documentaries.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book only problem I had with it was it was too short, yes I know it is only a novela but I started reading it then poof! it was finished I needed more lol but then again I needed more of Ethan Blackstone I would recommend it to all the Blackstone lovers and enjoy it while it lasts narrator Camme Tyla has a beautiful sweet voice but unfortunately James Green was just not right for Cherry girl imagine sex scenes that sounded like a documentary, not very appealing.

Romantic

Good but male narrator only meets some expectations and as I read before its too romantic.

Nice but no Ethan and Brynn

This listen was just okay for me, it sort of skimmed along with no real depth into the characters and their story like Ethan and Brynn. I was ok with the male narrator but the female narrator was painful to listen to. I felt like this story was kind of an aside and quickly written to get it out while the Blackstone Trilogy was still hot. This story probably could have been good with a little more time and depth put into it.
