Great first book in the series!! Give me more!

I am not sure what I expected from this book, but I was pleasantly surprised. It is an engaging story that is kind of light on the romance. Really terrific read!

Victory is a great character, she has sass and gumption. I love that she is smart enough to save herself most of the time. She has a terrific relationship with her sisters and I hope we see more of that over the series.

Tristan is yummy, I totally did a hero type. He is a perfect match for Victory. He is smart enough to let her have her independence but knows when to keep her safe. They have wonderful banter!

The romance takes a back seat to the genetics plot, but that didn't bother me because it was a great storyline. I would have liked a touch more of the history of both the girls and the Farraday twins. There are many holes in the story when it comes to their abilities. That may come to light over the course of the series.

Things do get steamy, open bedroom door but not full erotic detail. It is just yummy enough to make you fan your face a time of two. The love happens kinda fast, I believe liking but not full on love at this point.

This is a mixed narrative. my favorite! It is mostly the two leads POV, but there are many times when supporting cast chime in as well. Some of the transitions are a touch jumpy.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Robin Rowan, who is excellent! I loved her energy and the tone of her voice. She did a great job with both men and women. I was not thrilled with the sister's voice, hope that isn't how she does it in the next book. It would be tough to listen to a full 8 hours of that. She has a great pace that moves with the action of the story.

Overall, I am intrigued by this series and want to know more. I will definitely be jumping into the next book!

Awesome slightly paranormal romance & suspense & M

Victory is a scientist dealing with DNA and also telepathic. She knows what dogs are thinking and feeling. She is kidnapped by a ruthless Braxton, CEO of Biotec. He kidnaps her to do DNA testing with animals mixed with humans. He’s doing this to make a strong army of soldiers. He is a very evil man. Tristan, the sexy alpha hero, (along with his other alpha members) is investigating Biotec/Braxton in connection to his recent devious acts. Tristan goes in as Victory’s assistant. Does he rescue her and bring Braxton down?? You’ve got to read this book (or listen to it) to find out. It is a totally awesome slightly paranormal romance & suspense story. The author did a super job in portraying this story in a way that keeps you interested to the end.
This was my very first audio book, and I really enjoyed it. I liked the audio version because I could listen to it while doing other things, like household chores.

Hooked on the Winter Sisters series

Would you consider the audio edition of Chasing Victory to be better than the print version?

Yes I do better with this type of genres on audio, however I did find the book to be good as well. I just like the audio better.

Which character – as performed by Robin Rowan – was your favorite?

I thought the character voices were outstanding, I didn't care to much for one of the sisters voice but it was okay. There are to many wonderful characters to pick just one

Any additional comments?

I have to say most of the Paranormal I do not care for with that said I will also say this author had me hooked from the start to finish. I loved the suspense with just a little mystery there is a thrill a minute in this read. I am not sure what I expected is sure wasn't what I got Ms. Jaytanie really blow me away with her wonderful scenes, characters and her outstanding writing style. I won this in a give away I was a little uneasy when I downloaded it. I am very thankful for the gift and turning me on to a new author that I would not have given a second look to.

You have a many alpha males here who use to be ex military. Brothers who can talk without talking. What it must be like to be in someone else mind is mind blowing. Tristan is a sweetheart of a man not knowing what he is getting into as he is on the hunt for the bad men. He is hot on their trail when one ends up dead with no leads only a smell of a women he must find before it is to late, could she be in on this or is she innocent. The hunt is on.... It doesn't take him long to get into the thrill of action that he dearly loves. He might have gotten in over his head in more ways than one.

Victory loves animals, she has spent her life talking to and helping them. She is doing research to help find people unique ability in hope to find curses to help humans. One night, one old friend will change her life and the path she is on. With being kidnap she is force to do her research on canine DNA. She is shocked at what she sees, what she finds is mind blowing, she will spend her time working hard to help those that are hurt by this research. Victory is just one sweet loveable caring lady who is out to help the world. She has a rough road which could lead to her death if not her sisters death. So many life's can be lost if this isn't handle very carefully.

Robin Rowan has a very smooth voices I thought her male voices were outstanding at times I forgot it was a female voice. I loved her many voices which I thought added much to the listen. There was only one of the sisters voice I didn't care to much for but it wasn't bad at all. I thought she did an outstanding job bring your heart to your chest as she spins the tale the author gives us. I am so looking forward to listening to more from this narrator.

There are so many wonderful characters I hope each one get their own story as this series continues. It is a thriller which keep you hopping, with a few Oh Mys thrown in as you cheer for this team to find a way out and help those injected with the DNA. This story will break your heart as it raises you up with the humor. I chuckled a time or two as well as laughed out loud. It is a very touching read with a little romance thrown in, which is well written and flows smoothly. I felt so much pain for the victims I could hear as well as see their pain. For those that where implanted with canis DNA the author showed the pain as they learn to deal with many issues. I would think if and when the time ever comes that this is done it will be as the author has wrote it or very close. I found this to be a very believable story as chills run down my back at the thought of this ever happening. I have no doubt there are people out there who would love to have the perfect soldier and would do anything to make this happen.

I could relate to each character in this well told story of what the future might bring. I just might be hooked on reading a few more Paranormal. I do want to thank this author for giving this audio in a drawing and letting me listen to it. I wouldn't have missed it for the world and am so looking forward to reading/listening to more from her. My hats off to you for one outstanding read.
