Publisher's summary

It turns out my stepfather has plans for me. Plans that make dying look like a walk in the park. He's selling my virginity to a Mexican drug lord to get out of debt. Chase just found out and is here to take me away to safety. To the ocean. To my dreams.

But while I'm gone, a murder takes place back home. I receive a phone call. It's the police. I'm the prime suspect. And if I go back, I may become the prime victim.

They say love conquers all, but can Chase save me from this?

4 Holy Shocking Star’s

This is the second book and it starts right off where the first book let off.

Wow there is a lot going on in this book, a lot of it shocking and will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Allie this girl cannot catch a break, between her stepfather and then crashing her bike like that. Now she is being called back and is a suspect in a murder case. WHAT!

I do like the dynamic between Allie and her sister! That’s a great relationship to have.
Chase and Allie oddly fit well and I love that he got to show her the ocean! How beautiful.
OMG the ENDING!! I need book 3 people like right freaking NOW. Say whaaaat!!

I am really enjoying the narration on this book too. She makes you feel the book.

Great 2nd Book

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. This 2nd book was great taking off where the first one ended. Great thriller with a side of romance. Meli did a great job of developing the characters, the story line and describing the surroundings. The narrator did an excellent job of distinguishing between the characters. Not too many characters to keep up with. It is very easy to relate to Allie and her situation. Looking forward to another book.

The Book ends with a Cliff Hanger..

Any additional comments?

** Spoilers**

This book starts right where the first one ended.

When Chase finds out what Jeff has in store for Allie, he takes her to Los Angles and away from Jeff.

They go to the ocean and afterwards, Chase takes her to her sister Marissa where they will stay until they can figure what to do next.

When Allie wakes the next morning, she finds that Chase has left her a note without saying much of anything.

Marissa gets a call from back home, it is the police and they want Allie to come back home for questioning.

There is a little angst, suspense, and some romance in this story.

This book ends on a Cliff Hanger just like the first book.

Tanya Eby did well with the narration.

Not enough Stars

This was a book that keeps you rivited until the end. Although there were times when I got lost because I have not read book 1 that did not last long. the narrator kept the story going in such a way that you were on the edge of your seat waiting on the next thing to happen. This is one that will have to have another listening to once I get book 1. I know that I will underrstand more of the underlying plots after reading that.

I was given this book in exchange for a honest review via audiobook boom.

I enjoyed this book alot but think I need book1.

Any additional comments?

I was given this book in return for my honest opinion. I love this book. I think that the story is well written and full of twist and turns. I do think I need to read the 1st book because it felt Ike I was starting in the middle of the story. The narration was great. I definitely will be relistening to this one.

Love and betrayal

I knew this would be a cliffhanger but what a cliffhanger it was. Allie believes she finds the love of her life and by Chase's words and actions it seems he loves her too. But Allie ends up kidnapped, beaten and naked and Chase is one of the kidnappers. I really can't wait to see how this plays out.

and the excitement builds...

This is book 2 of the Allie series. This book is even more exciting than book 1 is. When this story ends, we have another cliffhanger, which makes me want book 3 even more now! Poor Allie, she has been thru so much in her life and now a suspect of murder? The ending blew my mind!

This story is a suspense / thriller / romance. It is twisted and dark. Just when I think I have seen it all, something else adds to the equation. This story keeps me guessing for sure!

The author, Meli Raine did a good job on this story. Great plot, excellent detailing. This author has a great imagination. The narrator, Tanya Eby, delivered another flawless narration, complete with accents, multiple voices and emotions. Loved the Scottish accent and the little boy voice!

No, do yourself a favor RUN

This reminds of a train wreck and the rubberneckers that can't stop watching. The naivety of this girl. The girl is 18 but no one not even an 18 year old is this stupid.

Hmmmm

There were quite a few times that I had to remind myself that this is basically a YA/NA suspense story because the immaturity of the characters was so OTT. I'm curious to see how this trilogy will end though
