Publisher's Summary

Five years ago, Kat Harper fell into a dizzying summer romance with her brother's best friend, Bryan. It was a mad, crazy love full of kisses all through the night, but he broke her heart and she had to move on. Five years later, Kat is finishing her graduate degree and building her business as a jewelry designer, when Bryan, head of his own successful company, walks back into her life. Bryan has been assigned to Kat as her new business mentor and the rules are clear. No hanky-panky permitted. Kat can handle that because she's totally over him…right? Except, he still makes her laugh, and he remembers all the things she likes. Not to mention that he's even more handsome now than he was then. Then there's the spark between them-the simply undeniable chemistry and the tender ways he shows he still cares for her. Can they resist each other the second time around or will first love trump all?

Fun & Sweet

I enjoyed this book but I wouldn't say its my favorite Lauren Blakely series. This book was sweet & sexy as always with her stories and the actual drama is light which I love too. I enjoy a second chance romance so I was excited when this story turned out to be just that. I can't say I blame Kat when she can't resist Bryan for long, He is a sweet talker and knows what he wants. This was a little fluffy and predictable but still enjoyable story.

The narration is not a favorite for me, I actually like Emily Durante but just not for this story. The voices just didn't fit the characters for me, especially Bryan, I'm not a big fan of her male voice.

Sweet, sexy, and well narrated!

Sometimes good can come from the broken heart of a first love. Kat Harper's first love, Bryan, actually inspired her jewelry line called, My Favorite Mistakes. This love for the fashion and jewelry business led her to a college mentoring course. Each student is paired with an alumni business mentor in their field. Unfortunately, Kat is paired up with her ex-Bryan who runs a men's cuff link company. Of course he's just as hot and charming as he used to be, and he still seems to have a thing for her. Her prof has a very strict no romance policy in his courses. So how is Kat to going to survive the semester? And you know Bryan isn't going to go easy on her.

I really enjoyed Kat's story. She is smart, caring, and sweet. I enjoyed getting to know her as an adult, and also as a teen via flashbacks. I love that she took something that hurt her so much, and turned it into something positive. Her ultimate goal was to make enough money to help her parents failing business, and that really touched me. She was also willing to try to put the love of her life on hold, to make her dreams come true. I adminred that she wasn't willing to take no for an answer, and in the end she got everything she needed.

I pretty much fell in love with Bryan the moment he first stepped into the book. He was young and immature when he first met Kat. And like most guys his age, he messed up his first love. Fast-forward to the present, here we have a intelligent, witty, and sexy business men. He does and says all the right things. He's just so charming, you can't help but fall for him. I mean the guy still remembers her coffee order. Also, he's smart and didn't push Kat into a relationship she clearly wasn't ready for yet.

I really enjoyed Emily Durante's narration of CAUGHT UP IN US! Her light, sweet tone lent well to this story, especially when it came to voicing Kat. Her character voices were distinct, and she did an amazing job voicing both the male and female parts. Emily brought real emotions to this audiobook, from it's heart wrenching lows to it's light-hearted humor. She really brought this story to life for me!

CAUGHT UP IN US is a sweet and sexy story about second chances. Though this book had plenty of heat, I really enjoyed how the author made us wait for the really thing. It made this book stand out so much more in a sea of instant gratification romance books. I had a lot of fun getting "caught up" in this in this audiobook! I really couldn't put it down, and finished the audiobook in two days. I was happy to see that it's only the first in the Caught Up in Love series, so I can run right out and order the next audiobook in this series.

Fall in love with Kat & Bryan!

If you're a fan of second chance romance - this is definitely a book you want to read! Fall in love with Bryan and Kat's story! They started out as young love but in life things don't always go as planned. Fast forward 5 years with a chance meeting, and sparks fly! Such a wonderful story as are all of Lauren Blakely's books!

Great story. Great narration. Will definitely read another book by this author, and listen to another story and by this narrator.

Wonderful entertainment

Well written story enhanced by excellent narration. Lauren Blakely has taken the old theme of boy meets girl, boy loses girl and made it seem fresh.

Annoying

The narration was annoying. The male voice was dorky and creepy and the female immature. This coupled with awkward unnatural dialogue, I couldn’t finish this one.

Love Blakely, did not love this one

I have been on a Lauren Blakely marathon- this is my 6th in a row I think- and have to say I was disappointed for the first time. I know it is a challenge for authors to think up the reason our couple can't just be together and the novel be over on page 10. The "reasons" in this one are lame, flimsy and once there is a great deal of distance, just ludicrous. I am going to continue my marathon since -sadly- they can't all be winners and until now I was having too much fun to stop.

Again, Lauren Blakely doesn't disappoint

This is a great, short, feel-good story. Typical of HEA, but getting there required a lot of patience on behalf of the characters. As usual, the characters were dreamy. The story was also cute in that unrequited love kind of way, unill the end. The author did a great job with the story and the narrator did a great job bringing the characters to life.

Perfect combination of steamy and story

This was the first book I have read of Laurens and what a book!
A few tears courtesy of some great emotional scenes and really great characters who you connect with, great story as well as the sexy scenes to make us blush and get those butterflies going wild!!

What I loved about this book, was the added wit and lol moments, the ease of reading so refreshing, like a chat with a friend. The real life references to movies I loved ie: " it was the hero holding the boom box in the rain" I could hear the song, see the part, feel the butterflies......... Damn!!!!

Perfect combination of steamy and story.

I enjoyed Emily's narration, she did the male and female voices well. A narrator I would look forward to listening to again. Not too accented, too high or low.. just perfect for my tastes!

Caught up in us.

I have been so entertained by Lauren Blakely's sassy, laugh out loud novels.
This one unfortunately I found to be very bland.
Not helped by the overly sweet narration. Not a book I will return to.

3.5 Sweet and Fluffy Stars!

Where does Caught Up in Us rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Around the half way or just below.

If you’ve listened to books by Lauren Blakely before, how does this one compare?

Not that I remember.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

It was just a nice steady read.

Any additional comments?

If you like the tropes, in love with your brothers best friend, and reunited lovers, then this is a tame and pretty much angst free story that you may well love.

liked it

I got used to the humour that comes with Lauren Blakely but this book felt different and like early on work, its great to see progress in an author and she's got so good. But I stll loved this story, the heroine and her career was so different and interesting as was the hero.
