Publisher's summary

In the past, I've always been given everything I've wanted, but nothing that I truly needed. I've experienced a lot of things in my 25 years - everything except the one thing I want. It's the one thing that can't be bought. It can't even be taken; it has to be given. And nobody has ever given it to me - not really anyway. Not until him.

Music is the center of both our lives, but as he found his place in it, I lost my way. He soared, while I spiraled down a destructive path. I lost myself in more ways than I can count. The ironic thing is that I didn't realize how lost I was until he found me. And now that he has, I have to wonder if he'll stay around long enough to catch me.

Surprisingly Captivating

This was a surprise book for me. I started it months ago, but didn't finish. While taking a road trip to Cali, decided to give it a go. Spectacular story. At first, I was concerned if the main character would irritate me because she seemed to be a "yes" girl. I hoped she'd mature through the story and she did.

I loved the plot and story development of the characters and the "AHA" moments that provided more background into the lives of each of them.

Contreras does an amazing job bringing a story that hasn't been done and giving it a so in that gives the readers a plethora of emotions. But the ending was the best. When you can listen to a book and be proud of the decisions of the MC, then you know you have a winner.

Callie Dalton was phenomenal with her portrayal of characters. Very believable and talented. Awesome work!

Shadow ❤️❤️❤️

No words. This book was so good. Definitely a 5 star read. I like when a book surprises me, this definitely was not what I was expecting. Another great book by Claire.

Weak MC’s

This book had great promise. Good plot line, exciting setting, but I really didn’t like most of the characters. It was really difficult to see Brooklyn treated like a doormat over and over again: by Nick at times, her best friend Shea, her best friend Ali, her mother, her father, for years and years. I patiently waited for Brook to find her strength and grow a back bone, but was disappointed that she surrounded herself with self centred hurtful people throughout the book. There were a few small redemptions at the end, but not enough for me to endure an entire book of a MC who really couldn’t say no to friends and family who walked all over her.

Wow!

I have to say this book was so powerful and beautiful. Touching base on addiction and depression were real. I literally cried several times during this book and blamed it on allergies so people wouldn’t think I was nutz. Then cried again when I realized there is not a sequel. New fav aurthor!

Catch Me

I so enjoy s this story. I love how Nick helps Brooklyn over come her past and fall in love.
The narrator did a great job narrating the story.

Only 4 stars because I am Stingy with 5

I actually liked this book a lot more than I thought I would. Nic is hot, love it. Love that there is no confusion with the main character and her emotions. There is a slightly frustrating part were I just want the stupid misunderstanding to be done, but I really feel like this author did an amazing job with this book and the love story. I would totally recommend.
