Publisher's summary

R.S.V.P. to the most riotous wedding of the year....

Lucy Jorik is the daughter of a former president of the United States.

Meg Koranda is the offspring of legends.

One of them is about to marry Mr. Irresistible - Ted Beaudine - the favorite son of Wynette, Texas. The other is not happy about it and is determined to save her friend from a mess of heartache.

But even though Meg knows that breaking up her best friend's wedding is the right thing to do, no one else seems to agree. Faster than Lucy can say "I don't", Meg becomes the most hated woman in town - a town she's stuck in with a dead car, an empty wallet, and a very angry bridegroom.

Broke, stranded, and without her famous parents at her back, Meg is sure she can survive on her own wits. What's the worst that can happen? Lose her heart to the one and only Mr. Irresistible? Not likely. Not likely at all.

Call Me Irresistible is the book Susan Elizabeth Phillips's readers and listeners have long awaited. Ted, better known as "little Teddy", the nine-year-old heartbreak kid from Phillips's first best seller, Fancy Pants, and as "young Teddy", the hunky new college graduate in Lady Be Good, is all grown up now - along with Lucy from First Lady and Meg from What I Did for Love. They're ready to take center stage in a saucy, funny, and highly addictive tale fans will love.

SEP is Back In The Game!! Loved It!

I can't tell you how mad I was with the length of time that we had to wait for a new SEP book. I was completely filled with righteous indignation and was all prepared to scream long and loud if the book was not worth the wait or if a sub-standard narrator had been selected...but oh was that NOT a problem.

I loved this book...and here comes a shocker...I LOVED THE NARRATOR!! I didn't think an SEP audio experience would ever be the same after Anna and I still miss her narrations dearly, but Shannon Cochran who holds her own. And is a reader more than capable of allowing the listener to experience the tale. I hope she is the narrator for the next book. I will definitely be looking for more of her work.

Typically, SEP usually gives us the primary couple's story and then there is a secondary couple...that was missing from this book...and I'm glad...because I wanna know what Lucy was up to...and I want ALL of the details.

I did love the individual characters in the town...but even more so that the town itself took on the role of one of the main characters in the book and not just a setting. There were several characters from previous SEP books that we were able to catch up with...the only one that came off a little different to me was Kenny; I'm not certain what happen there he was a little too "grown up" for me.

There is not much I can say about this book that I didn't like...but SEP be warned...don't make us wait this long again! :)

I loved it!

I loved the book, and the narrator did a great job. It is a real pleasure to have a new SEP book. I will listen to it several more times.

Fun soap opera

I enjoyed Shannon Cochran's various Texas accents. Susan Phillips' cast of characters were entertaining. If you liked the TV show Dallas, you'll like this. Won't change your life, but won't bring you down while you're laying by the pool.

SEP You are redeemed

She's back to the writing style we all know and love. Love the characters the story-line, the flow. This is not a five star book- I only give five stars to book I have listened to more than once.

NOTE- I have listened to SEP's Natural Born Charmer and "Match Me..." no fewer than
6 time each. Don't be afraid to down load Call me Irresistible if you've listened to any of SEP's early works!

Narration

Narration was off. The characters came off as stereotypical caricatures, particularly Lady Emma, Skeet and Dalle. They did not sound real.

The title is perfect, as is the book!

The minute I see a new book by Susan Elizabeth Phillips, I order it immediately. I don't even have to read the synopsis because I know I'm going to love it. This one is no exception. Maybe I was just starved for one of her books, but it may have been my favorite.

There is never a dull moment in a book by SEP! They are always impossible to put down. I've read every one and several I've read twice! As I finished this "irresistable" book, I realized I had a big smile on my face. The narrator was wonderful, too. She really understood the characters and made them seem so alive to the listener.

Please give us another book soon, Ms. Phillips!

SEP does it again!

I have read/listened to ALL of SEP's books. And like most authors some of her books I liked better than others. This book has a great story with good, strong characters! I love that this story follows up on characters from some of her other books. It's like an epiloge within the main story. I liked the narrator and Anna Fields is a tough act to follow. If you like SEP I wouldn't miss this book.

Just listen!

Where SEP comes up with her ideas for a story line are beyond me and that is why I personally LOVE THEM. And the author's tongue-in-cheek runs satisfyingly high in this novel. Expect to laugh, snicker, guffaw, and even cackle through out the listen. The romance builds up in a unique and satisfying development. The heroine is spunky but not smug. No excuses are made for her flaws; real life flaws that we can all relate to --- so you can't help but champion the heroine's endeavor to overcome.

Adding her own distinct mark, Shannon Cochran fills in beautifully for the dearly missed Anna Fields. In my humble opinion, should now and forever be THE voice of an SEP audio production. Her voice is natural and she is very adept of giving each character their own unique tone. She conveys ALL the emotions, especially humor with excellent timing.

Love It!!!

This book was very enjoyable just like all the other SEF books I've read so far. If you want a great story about sexy Texas men with some erotic vibe to it, then this book is for you cause you're like me lol. If not, try Diana Palmer's 'Lawman', 'Dangerous', 'Heartless', 'Merciless' or Lisa Kleypas' 'Blue-eyed devil' or 'Smooth Talking Stranger' :D
