Publisher's Summary

The marriage is fake. But for a sassy chef and an arrogant billionaire, the sparks are real...

Jackson "The Beast" Boudreaux is rich, gorgeous, and unbelievably rude to the staff at Chef Bianca Hardwick's New Orleans restaurant. Bianca would sooner douse herself in hot sauce than cook for Jackson again, but when he asks her to cater his fundraiser, Bianca can't refuse, knowing the cash will help pay her mother's medical bills. Then Jackson makes another outrageous request: Marry me. The unconventional offer includes an enormous sum - money Bianca desperately needs, even if it does come with a contract - and a stunning ring.

The heir to a family bourbon dynasty, Jackson knows the rumors swirling around him. The truth is even darker. Still, he needs a wife to secure his inheritance, and free-spirited, sassy Bianca would play the part beautifully. Soon, though, their simple business deal evolves into an emotional intimacy he's built walls to avoid.

As the passion heats up between them, Bianca and Jackson struggle to define which feelings are real and which are for show. Is falling for your fake fiancé the best happy ending...or a recipe for disaster?

Slap slap kiss

At first I wasn't too sure if I would enjoy this book. It starts off a little slow but I ended up loving this story so very much. It had a everything, humor, angst (but not too much), and even some really cool drink and food recipes. It was a perfect blend of emotions and had a kick butt spit fire heroine. Definitely recommend this book.

Loved the story

Loved the story. SY was good as always. The female narrator was a bit to handle. The author painted one picture of the characters and the female narrator painted another. Very confusing at times. Wished I had not bought the audible version but read it myself.

female narrator was terrible.

struggled to finish Diana Luke was not good as a narrator. it took me 4days to finish this book. Sebastian York should of had a bigger read. I love him he's my favorite male narrator. I give this a 2 at best.

B

This wasn't as hot as I had hoped for. The female "creole" accent was pretty annoying. Overall okay

Males character voice

Good storyline maleCharacters voice should be more involved in the story having the female do the males part is just not conducive I like the voice of Sebastian. And please do not have the female to the male part just throws the story off.

an adorable love story

This book was a fun book to listen to, but I think it was made even better by the GREAT narration of Diana Luke. She did a fabulous job! I liked the storyline. loved the characters! It was such a sweet love story! I was getting concerned that it would be a cliffhanger but it wasnt..she tied it off very nicely. It was definitely worth a listen and a credit!

Good read!... Give it a try!

I was not sure if this was my cup of tea, the main reason to give it a try was because of Sebastian!

It has been a while since i laughed so hard with a book, from the accents, to the sayings, and the chemistry with the couple was really enjoyable and funny. I even cry in a few sections. The book is a bit slow, I have to admit I skipped some parts, and for my preference there was a disconnect between the female and the male narrators, but since its Sebastian I forgive him (lol).

The book its very enjoyable, the female character its amazing, and the narration was to the point!... you might want to give it a try if you like the type of opposite attracts and the broken but you made me a better man kind of books.

Wow! Excellent Pairing of Narrators! Quite Refreshing!

Listening to Sebastian York’s narration skill is always amazing. However, pairing him with Diana Luke proved to be an excellent choice. With this pair, listening to the story concerning two head-strong lead characters was hilarious! Perhaps it is best to listen to Diana Luke and Sebastian York during daylight rather than after hours because laughing out loud inevitable. I hope to find more audiobooks narrated by Sebastian York and Diana Luke post haste! The combo made me believe in the story and made me feel as if I were in the company of excellence. Great call.😀

Let's just say the listen was AWESOME! The narration was great, I loved Diana Luke, and Sebastian in this book. This was also a different twist on the fake fiance' story line. This was a laugh out loud funny story. I love a smart mouth female lead. GOOD JOB JT!!

Amazing!!!

I adored every second of this book, there was only one character I disliked that we met and a couple that we didn't meet but heard about, those three I would love to kick the crap out of! The rest of the characters were quirky and fun, or just redeemed themselves at the end when the truth came out.
I loved Bianca and Jackson! Once they got past the initial (false) impressions they really were made for each other and their relationship was, as the title suggests, a slow burn. The chemistry was there throughout and very strong, but neither acted on it for most of the book!
I loved the banter and the sayings as well as the New Orleans dialogue in the book and the recipes at the start of the chapters.
This book first made me laugh and then made me cry when we finally learned what Jackson had been through and again when Bianca faced tragedy. Loved how it worked out in the end although I'd have loved an epilogue, although maybe J.T will bless us with a follow-up story on the couple at some point, either in another characters book in the series or just a short story with Bianca and Jackson.
