Publisher's summary

No last names. No life stories. Those were the rules.

Once upon a time a cocky, copper-haired tourist sauntered into Zara's bar. And even though she knew better, Zara indulged in a cure for the small-town blues. It was supposed to be an uncomplicated fling - a few sizzling weeks before he went back to his life, and she moved on. Until an accidental pregnancy changed her life.

Two years later, she's made peace with the notion that Dave No-Last-Name will never be found - until one summer day when he walks into her coffee shop, leveling her with the same hot smile that always renders her defenseless.

Dave Beringer has never forgotten the intense month he spent with prickly Zara. Their nights together were the first true intimacy he'd ever experienced. But the discovery of his child is the shock of a lifetime, and his ugly past puts relationships and family out of reach.

Or does it? Vermont's countryside has a way of nurturing even tortured souls. The fields and the orchards - and hard-won love - are bountiful.

Best of the Series

Something about this story struck me at the heart. It was a love story with plenty of steam, sure. But the characters grabbed me from the first chapters. I want this series to go on forever. I also feel a strong urge to visit Vermont as well!

Great chemistry

This book is amazing! I never wanted it to end. The hottest chemistry! The swooniest Hero! And a strong, independent heroine!

“ You bring out a different kind of horny in me ... the kind that wants to buy furniture as well as blank on it. The kind that would rather be a patient man. Because you are worth it, honey. “

A fling with no strings attached takes a turn when Zara finds herself pregnant. No last names or personal information were exchanged so Zara takes on this new challenge on her own until Dave shows up on her doorstep 2 years later.

This book definitely should come with a book hangover warning!!

Another fantastic book in the True North series

I've really enjoyed all the books in the True North series and the fact that this is a cross-over with the Brooklyn Bruisers, and I got to see some "old friends" from that series, just made it even better. I really enjoyed all the characters and the narration was fantastic. Teddy Hamilton is always wonderful.

Poor female narrator choice

Having 'heard' Zara in the previous books in this series, and getting to know her personality, the choice of female narrator for this story struck me as odd. She was very mousy sounding, not fitting for a prickly and feisty woman. Male narration was fine.

Story itself was solid. Not the best of the series, or the best of Sarina Bowen, but it was fun to see the overlap of Brooklyn Bruisers and Vermont

Brooklyn Bruisers Dave meets Zara from True North

This book is as much about Bruisers hockey player Dave Berlinger as it is about Griff’s ex girlfriend Zara from True North. Set in Vermont, the two flirt and finally give into their strong Chemistry while Dave is taking an off season vacation in Vermont. The two have had difficult childhoods and horrible fathers so neither is ready for a relationship but a couple summers later they have matured. Zara has new priorities and Dave is discovering the physical challenges of playing a grueling sport in his 30s while rehabbing his shoulder. Their attraction is stronger than ever though the moments are hot but not as frequent as they develop a relationship based on trust and adulting. A hot sweet story worth the credit for both series or as a standalone.

The chemistry and respect they had for each other.

I loved everything the the chemistry, the growth of both characters and the actual devotion and respect they have for each other and lastly it was not predictable but still so sweet!

Filling in Zara's story

A nice addition to the series, but this title lacks some of the character development of earlier books. Dave is a nice tie-in to the Brooklyn Bruisers series, but I wish we learned more about him.

Loved it!

Sarina Bowen is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors and the True North series is awesome. This is the story of the hockey player and the prickly bartender. These stories are so down to earth and quirky at the same time. Every character in this series has a unique (some downright quirky) personality. I have thoroughly enjoyed each of the True North books! They are all consuming.

A True Favorite

Bountiful is one my favorite books in the True North series, although it can be read as a standalone book, I highly suggest reading the previous three books in the series. Zara is a complicated character, with some sharp edges, but her edges soften when it comes to her daughter. Zara and Dave's relationship is full of fire and sparks, and even the time apart doesn't stifle that intense attraction. This was such a fun romance, and I loved the drama and romance.
