Publisher's Summary

No last names. No life stories. Those were the rules.

Once upon a time a cocky, copper-haired tourist sauntered into Zara's bar. And even though she knew better, Zara indulged in a cure for the small-town blues. It was supposed to be an uncomplicated fling - a few sizzling weeks before he went back to his life, and she moved on. Until an accidental pregnancy changed her life.

Two years later, she's made peace with the notion that Dave No-Last-Name will never be found - until one summer day when he walks into her coffee shop, leveling her with the same hot smile that always renders her defenseless.

Dave Beringer has never forgotten the intense month he spent with prickly Zara. Their nights together were the first true intimacy he'd ever experienced. But the discovery of his child is the shock of a lifetime, and his ugly past puts relationships and family out of reach.

Or does it? Vermont's countryside has a way of nurturing even tortured souls. The fields and the orchards - and hard-won love - are bountiful.

I loved this book and stayed up all night to finish it. Sarina Bowen is a must buy author for me! This series has been great from book 1 but this one was my favorite I think. I loved the characters, they were both so good and normal, like they could be your friends. Dave & Zara are incredibly HOT together and they have a great connection. I loved them together from chapter 1. They have such amazing chemistry that you can't help but fall for their love story. I have a huge soft spot for Men with children in my books. This book was sweet, sexy, realistic and my favorite... Not overly dramatic!!!! I also love that all of these series' are entwining but even if you don't remember the other books this could have been a stand alone.

The narration was great! Teddy Hamilton was the PERFECT choice for Dave. He really brought Dave to life for me! Seraphine Valentine was also very good, not sure if I have ever heard her before but I would absolutely buy another audiobook if she was narrating!

A- rating...

My Review:
Overall: 4.25
Performance: 4.5
Story: 4.0

This story overlaps the other books so it was interesting to see all of the events happening from Zara's point of view. I'll admit, I was never a huge Zara fan in the rest of the series, but I grew to like her...a lot...in this book.

And then there's Dave...professional hockey playing Dave. OMG, YES! I loved this intersection of Sarina Bowen's other series...it's like a book filled with Easter Eggs when that happens and definitely makes me happy as a reader.

I've been a huge fan of this series from the very first book. Because this story overlapped the other stories, it had a slightly different feel, but that was never a bad thing. The hard thing about this story is just how closed off Zara is. She is NOT a character who trusts anyone with her heart...anyone...friends, family, or possible boyfriends. So that made it really hard to like her at first. Like I said, she grew on me, but it's a slow evolution to fall in love with her.

And Dave isn't easy either. But by the end I was the biggest cheerleader in his corner, urging him on and sending positive thoughts that Zara would eventually cave. (Okay, yes, I may get a little TOO into the story lines sometimes, but that's what makes these great books to read. I love that feeling that the characters are real people and I just want them to find their happy...together.)

Like all the other books, eventually that happens here, too. Now, I'm ready for book #5...who's it going to be?? Whoever it is, I'm ready and am excited to read it.

And...as always...this narration team NAILS these books. I love these two. They always do a fantastic job!

Another fantastic book in the True North series

I've really enjoyed all the books in the True North series and the fact that this is a cross-over with the Brooklyn Bruisers, and I got to see some "old friends" from that series, just made it even better. I really enjoyed all the characters and the narration was fantastic. Teddy Hamilton is always wonderful.

Feel Goods

The True North Series has been such an emotional, inspiring and sexy journey with a lot of very entertaining and interesting characters. Although the characters do show up from book to book, they do truly stand alone.

Although this book had not a great deal of action and goings on, i still couldn’t turn it off. It had my attention through and through. The characters were endearing, their chemistry palpable and the storyline was so sweet. I really, truly loved it.
