Publisher's Summary

Joshua committed his life to fighting Black Magick. Not sure who he hates worse, dark sorcerers or the clerics who tortured and mutilated his family, he lives on the road with his horse and his magic, working as a Coven enforcer. Breana Giraud is the only woman he's ever loved, and until very recently she was married to someone else.

Breana's husband, Don, sold his soul to the devil, embracing dark practices. Along the way, he corrupted their daughter. While Breana could've turned him in to Coven justice without a second thought, she couldn't bring herself to implicate her child. Still reeling from her daughter's death at the hands of evil, and grateful her husband met the vicious end he deserved, she feels broken, damaged. The last thing on her mind is falling in love.

Joshua tries to hold back, give Breana room to mourn her losses, but if he has his way, she'll become his wife. With Don dead, and the path to his heart's true love finally clear, he'll do anything he can to make her his. Even if it means fighting his way past the dark mages' leader, who wants her for his own.

Love and Honor

I love Ann Gimpel books! Blood and Sorcery weaves a tale about Breana, a witch, who has made a mistake. She made it for love of her daughter but now there are consequences. She must face the judgement of the coven elders.
Joshua, a coven enforcer, has loved Breana for years but she was married to someone else. So he kept his love to himself. He is a strong man of honor.
These are characters you can identify with. They love, the make mistakes and they worry over decisions. But they are fantasy with magic, old Irish gods and goddesses of Tuatha De Dannann and Andres.
As they battle the dark sorcery, hunt traitors in the ranks, and her judgement, Joshua and Breana must decide if they are willing to take a chance on love for each other.
You don't want to miss this book or audible version.

Joshua and Breana's story

This is book 2 in this series and it keeps getting better. I am so pleased Breana gets her own HEA. You can't help but feeling sorry for all she lost in book 1. This story is full of good vs evil scrimmages and the budding romance between Breana and Joshua. The narration on this book is awesome. I am looking forward to book #3

A great blend of adventure, romance and paranormal

What made the experience of listening to Blood and Sorcery the most enjoyable?

Having the characters brought to life through the narration. I had read this book prior to listening to the audiobook, and enjoyed the intonations, and varied voices given to each of the characters.

What other book might you compare Blood and Sorcery to and why?

I enjoyed the whole Coven Enforcers series...worth reading/listening to the third book in the series as well.

What does Hollie Jackson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Hollie Jackson uses a variety of voices and accents to bring the characters to life, as well as changes in pitch, intonations, etc. in a way that the author intended...nuances you might not pick up on when just reading the book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I liked how the characters were willing to accept failures and mistakes in others, forgive them and move on so they could work together to battle evil.
