Publisher's Summary

Dark, dangerous, magical men who live to annihilate evil.

Magic didn't just find Luke Caulfield. It chased him down, bludgeoned him, and has been dogging him ever since. Some lessons are harder than others, but Luke embraces danger, upping the ante to give it one better. An enforcer for the Coven, a large, established group of witches, his latest assignment is playing bodyguard to the daughter of Coven leaders.

Abigail Ruskin is chaperoning a spoiled 12-year-old from New York to her parents' home in Utah Territory when Luke gets on their stagecoach in Colorado. A powerful witch herself, Abigail senses Luke's magic, but has no idea what he's doing on her stagecoach. Stuck between the petulant child and Luke's raw sexual energy, Abigail can't wait for the trip to end.

Unpleasant truths surface about the child. While Abigail's struggling with those, wraiths, wolves, and dark mages launch an attack. Luke's so attracted to Abigail, she's almost all he can think about, but he's leery too. The child is just plain evil. Is Abigail in league with her? It might explain the odd attack that took out their driver and one of their horses. In over his head, he summons enforcer backup.

Will they help him save the woman he's falling in love with, or demand her immediate execution?

A nice blend of action, suspense and romance woven

What did you love best about Blood and Magic?

I love how Ann weaves together paranormal with adventure, romance, drama, putting her own spin on things mystical and magical.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Blood and Magic?

When the coven enforcers were working together to battle evil while working hard to protect and save their own and the romantic interest of one enforcer.

Which character – as performed by Hollie Jackson – was your favorite?

My favorite character was Abigail. I like the way Hollie infused emotion and energy into the written words.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

When evil lurks in unexpected places, Coven Enforcers come to the rescue...

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed Blood and Magic, the first in the Coven Enforcers series by Ann Gimbel. Be sure to read/listen to this first before moving on to the other stories in the series...and be sure to experience the whole series.

A very good Story

I felt that this was a very good story, definitely enjoyed the story line. I am not a reader that really enjoys romance novels so the descriptive sex was for me off putting. I am not a prude but for me sex is intimate and personal.
Really enjoyed the two main characters and how they grow throughout the story.

Magical world filled with heroes and evil

I so enjoyed this book. It was a wonderful balance of action and romance. The characters were so interesting and Hollie did a wonderful job bringing them to life. Even though this book is first in a series, we get Luke and Abigail's full story with no annoying cliffhanger. I am looking forward to the rest of the series where I hope we get to hear about the other coven enforcers that we met in this book. I would highly recommend!
