Publisher's Summary

Audie Award Finalist, Erotica, 2016

Roth and I are on an open-ended tour of the world. Roth being Roth, this means missionary in Morocco, reverse cowgirl in Calcutta, bent over the bow of a houseboat in Hanoi, slow and sleepy on St. John. Anywhere and everywhere, in every conceivable position and some I didn't know were possible. Life is pretty incredible. Until I wake up in his chateau in France alone. On the bed next to me is a note. There are only four words: "He belongs to me."

BUCKLE UP & HOLD ON... COZ IT'S A WILD BUMPY RIDE

Wow, what a powerful, intense, harrowing and heartbreaking story this is as an evil twisted bitch from Roth's past shows up which seriously puts everyone's lives in jeopardy and the results are dangerous, devastating and it does terrible physical and mental damage to Roth and Kyrie's relationship..... and their very lives.

It's an action-packed ride with no way of knowing what's next... except more intrigue, suspense, violence, twists, heartache, passion and lots of sex. It was addictive, pulse-pounding, shocking, climatic, chilling, thrilling and oh so romantic and touching.

Told from both POV's the female narrator was much better than the male because he sometimes didn't quite get into the scene.

Worth a credit? Oh yeah, Jasinda you are at the top of your field, and I can't wait for Omega (book 3) which will hopefully be the conclusion and the HEA that this loving couple so deserves and I'll be looking out for it's release later this year as planned.

Didn't Love it

What a disappointment!!! Look, I loved Alpha and I read the reviews for beta so I knew I was getting into a dark story. But this was terrible for the following reasons:

**SPOILERS***

1. Roth is a little biatch. He gets kidnapped and raped. This simply would not happen to Gideon Cross or Eliah Al-Saud. Kidnapped? Yeah. Tortured? Yeah. But chained to a bed and raped for 3 days by an ex-girlfriend? No. Then when said ex-girlfriend kidnaps Kyrie, its Roth's (one and only) personal security guard who makes the plans, has the foresight to bring money to hire help, and its ultimately Kyrie who disposes of the threat. So what's the point of Roth's existence? ...there is none.

2. STDs. They are not concerned about getting them. Look, I personally hate when I'm reading a smutty novel and just when things are getting good, the characters have to stop to reach for a condom. I'm a married woman - Condom use aint sexy to me. BUT after being raped for 3 days, I think a man should at least take some PrEP before he sleeps with his girlfriend again. Just sayin'. That whole scene, I found myself wishing for a condom to magically appear. ***shudders***

3. The narration is bad. Tyler what-his-face sounds bored. No inflection in his tone, nothing to distinguish which character is speaking. I let my husband listen and he said is sounded like the guy was reading the news.

In short, if you liked Alpha, don't read Beta. If you didn't like Alpha, you won't understand Beta. So bascially, no one should read this.

Loved it!

Great story. Edge of your seat storyline. Love the narrators. Anxiously awaiting Omega! Thanks Jasinda!

A half completed story.

A detailed account of erotic exploits with a mafia type subtext leaves you flat in the middle of the story. Want to find out how it ends? Buy book three, four and five . It would be nice to know this before you buy book one and two.
I feel cheated.

WOW - Where to begin......

Where does Beta rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I will definitely listen to this again but not for a month or so, some books I can listen to a few days later but this one will take me time to recover from.

What other book might you compare Beta to and why?

This book is in a class all its own.

What does Summer Roberts and Tyler Dunn bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They both did a fabulous job, I always look for dual narrator books and this one was done beautifully

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

This is NOT your mothers romance novel

Any additional comments?

I am not sure why this is listed in the Romance section, I guess in a round about way this is a romance but I would put it in the Fiction area more, there are a lot of hot and heavy sex/love scenes and Valentine and Kyrie are in love but the trouble that catches up from Valentine's past is for sure NOT love, the rape scenes are heart-aching, there is a lot of violence in the book but if you can make it through and NOT fast forward it is worth it. I love ANY book that gets my heart racing and makes me have to fast forward then go back and listen once I know all is well. This is NOT for the faint of heart, but if you are looking for something 'outside of the box', this is for you!

This book was mind blowing, with all the great twist and turns. All the for two people..the only downside was the male narrator he made the at times really boring.

Storyline so different from Alpha, I LOVED IT!

I didn't see the storyline unfolding from Alpha and I loved it! The twists and turns were so unexpected. I can't wait for Omega. The male narrator was very drab but the story was perfect.

Incredibly breathtaking ride!

This audiobook is the second in a series, with the first book being Alpha. I can’t stress enough that you must listen to these three books in order or you will be totally lost. Now that I’ve said that, I was unprepared for the extreme twist this story takes! Roth and Kylie are blissfully happy since their reunion and are traveling the world just enjoying being together. Then one night, in a chateau he owns in France, Kylie wakes up to find Roth gone and a note stuck to his pillow with a knife. This starts the roller coaster ride in which Kylie and Harris (Roth’s driver/pilot/bodyguard) must track down where he is without getting themselves killed. There’s another bog twist in the story, but I’m not going to give any spoilers about that. I was glued to this story, just waiting for the next thing to fall on this super-wealthy Billionaire and his woman. This book ends on another cliff hanger, as Layla (Kylie’s best friend) also gets drawn into the drama unexpectedly. I can’t wait to listen to the next book in this trilogy! Narration was excellent as well.
