THE #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

The second novel in the Guardians Trilogy from the bestselling author of Stars of Fortune.

Mermaid Annika is from the sea, and it is there she must return after her quest to find the stars. New to this world, her purity and beauty are nothing less than breathtaking, along with her graceful athleticism, as her five new friends discovered when they retrieved the fire star.

Now, through space and time, traveler Sawyer King has brought the guardians to the island of Capri, where the water star is hidden. And as he watches Annika in her element, he finds himself drawn to her joyful spirit. But Sawyer knows that if he allows her into his heart, no compass could ever guide him back to solid ground....

And in the darkness, their enemy broods. She lost one star to the guardians, but there is still time for blood to be spilled - the mermaid's in the water and the traveler's on the land. For she has forged a dangerous new weapon. Something deadly and unpredictable. Something human.

Spot-on!

Another winner for Nora Roberts! Even though the trilogy series get predictable after a while I enjoy that about them. Just a couple of things that drove me crazy throughout the book. Referring to the gun magazines as clips! That's not what they are! The magazine holds the bullets. And every time the characters said damn skippy! Not to sound too Hermione here but it's Damne SKIPPY, not DAMN skippy.

I'm very much looking forward to the third in the trilogy! Write like the wind and get that going!

Outstanding

Nora Roberts is out doing herself on this trilogy! I have waited and waited for second book Bay of Sighs to come out and I am thrilled! Far more intrigue and suspense than most of her trilogy's. Yes, you do know who is going to hook up next and that is normal but the story is so far one of her best!
Saskia Maarleveld is really challenged in second book with all of the new characters introduced! She does a great job! She is one of my favorite narrators for Nora Roberts books!

Somart

I usually wait until all three books are available for a trilogy but after the first book I couldn't wait. And I was right. Amazing story, characters and phenomenal narrator. Almost wish there were more to the storyline than just three!

I love her books. keeps me GOING

I can't help but to love all of her stories. you know when there's a series is pretty predictable that all the characters are going to fall in love but that's what I love about her books so y'all have good endings and we all have a happy Loving Story.

predictable but enjoyable

this is one of those series you get into while you listen because you already know what's going to happen and when it happens you're happy! this is not a series for being surprised, it's more of a space/time filler while you get ready for work or something. I thought it was good and the vocal performance was great.

Entertaining but a little slow

Good story. Anie' s portrayal is kind of silly. The story is kind of dragging the middle and the end wasn't as dramatic as I had hoped. Hopefully the next one will be a nail biter.

Ready for the finale!

Great again! I am absolutely loving this trilogy. Saskia does well on the voices and changing them up. The characters are like family at this point. I don't feel much need for a long review as this is the second book in the series. You definitely need to read/hear book 1 "Stars of Fortune" before you read/hear this one or the next. On to book 3 for me.
