Publisher's summary

The reissue of number-one New York Times best-selling author Linda Lael Miller's Banner O'Brien, the first installment in the Corbins series!

In 1886, lovely Banner O'Brien overcame every obstacle and won her coveted medical diploma. Still, she longed to escape from Oregon...and the nightmares that left her shaking, screaming one man's name. Banner fled to the Washington Territory to accept a position with Dr. Adam Corbin...arrogant, handsome, and, rumor said, violent. Although Banner respected his skills, she was unnerved by the very nearness of this moody, powerful man. His past was a mystery that would challenge her to the utmost...for Banner was determined to win Adam Corbin's heart!

Banner and Adam

I nearly listened all night-loved the romance and mystery of the hero
And heroine. Was impressed with their dictation and knowledge of
Medicine at this time in. history. Can't wait to hear Jeff's. story.
This was basically a. tale. of a close and. loving family.

A Journey of Healing

I am always excited to start a new series and I did enjoy this one.. I did think the attraction went a little fast but I enjoyed the characters. I wanted to shake Adam several times with his secrets but the narrator did an excellent job with the voices and emotion. She has such a soothing voice.. A little suspense, mystery and a sizzling attraction all pull together to make another excellent audible by this amazing author!

everything in this book moves so fast Banner cames to town has a doctor to work with Adam 3 to 4 weeks she's crazy in love so much she's so desperate so married a drunken Adam who didn't remember the marriage but seems to remember everything else Adam is not a nice man and a bully too the story didn't hold my interest what a waste but narrator was good

Banner O’Brian Immature

Banner was immature and petulant. Between Banner and the too frequent and too long love scenes, I almost had to stop reading halfway through the book. I wanted to see if my guess about the mountain was correct so I slogged on
