Publisher's summary

A stunning and suspenseful new landscape emerges in the thrilling Dark-Hunter world—a world where nothing will ever be the same again. . .

Fang Kattalakis isn't just a wolf. He is the brother of two of the most powerful members of the Omegrion: the ruling council that enforces the laws of the Were-Hunters. And when war erupts among the lycanthropes, sides must be chosen. Enemies are forced into shaky alliances. And when the woman Fang loves is accused of betraying her people, her only hope is that Fang believes in her. Yet in order to save her, Fang must break the law of his people and the faith of his brothers. That breech could very well spell the end of both their races and change their world forever.

The war is on and time is running out...

Critic reviews

“The influx of feeling and emotion gained by the audio over the print was amazing. My main problem was that I found myself laughing out loud and missing parts of the conversation because I was still shaking my head at the witty remarks from the characters…” —Bitten by Books

“Bad Moon Rising is remarkable for many reasons...The story is mostly in Fang's point of view and narrator Holter Graham imbued him with a full emotional scale.” —SoundCommentary.com

Bad Moon Rising

After listening to this narrator read The Dark Side of the Moon I can't even try to listen to any other books read by him in this series. His voice is all wrong for paranormal romance

Awesome

It just keeps getting better. With each book in the Dark Hunter Series, Sherrilyn Kenyon keeps getting better. Holter Graham is just perfect. Amazing book. Great story.

Great. Loved it.

I appreciate loyalty. Fang and Amy have that in abundance. Holter Graham is the best. I like Sherrilyn Kenyon's books but I prefer to hear them with Holter. Enjoyed every minute. Thanks

Another home run.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I recommend this entire series. It just never gets boring.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Fang, of course.

What about Holter Graham’s performance did you like?

Holder Graham hits the mark every time. Whenever someone else is narrating, I'm just so confused at the different way that names are said.

Bad Moon Rising

I really liked the book. Narration was good...story line...good. I only wish that Fang and Amy's story would have been more "connected" rather than their story be more of their individual stories. Otherwise...I recommend!

Love this story! Love this series!

I love everything Sherrilyn Kenyon has written. Every book intertwines with every other, though each of them can be read as stand-alone. But, you do get more richness from the world and the story-telling if you read them in order. Better still, as you "meet" and fall in love with the various characters, it is a comfort to know that at the end of any given book, you will see them again in others. It helps ease that bit of melancholy that follows the ending of any great book when you feel as though you wish it could go on and on.

As to the narrator - I love Holter Graham and Fred Berman - I think they both do a great job reading these, but I agree with the commentators who stay they wish these narrators had been told correct pronunciations of various names - though this book doesn't have noticeable errors in that regard as others have had. Still, I don't let that mispronunciation interfere with my enjoyment of the story. Holter Graham is my favorite of the two, but I think human beings like routine and don't like change - your favorite tends to be the first one you hear/enjoy and anyone else will be second best. I've got almost the entire series in audiobook, or have listened to them in audio format from the library and I enjoy both of these narrators. The female narrators are also good, but not quite so enjoyable as Holter or Fred. There is one book I have not read, even though it means skipping one -(Dream Warrior) because the narrator has such horrible reviews. A truly awful narrator can ruin a story.

At any rate, Holter Graham does a great job with this and the story is powerful, moving, and I think this is one that is crucial to the over-all story arc that ties all the various stories together. Like Acheron, Styx and Time Untime, this is one you should not skip if you're following the larger world plot.

my first audiobook ever : not bad

Because this was my first audibook ever maybe I am a bit prejudiced;). The reader, Holter Graham, was very good, I liked his voice very much(although it was a bit strange with the female characters). Excellent quality!
For the story- the first part was good and offered a view on the events before Night Play, the middle was a bit repetitive(parts of Night Play and Unleash the Night), and for my taste too much of everything(new characters in the series, what happens to Fang, etc.), the author could have concentrated a bit more on the couple, not on creating a series that gets more bizarre and confusing with each book(but that´s a personal taste question). The end was okay, better have some tissues ready, it is a mix of happy end and sadness.

Wonderful!!!

I love Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. I thought I loved reading her books, however, listening to Holter Graham makes the books come alive! He is the best narriator for Sherrilyn's Dark Hunter series in my opinion. Not that the others are bad, they aren't. It's just that Mr Graham makes it all seem so real. I am still listening to this book, having just finished Asheron, also done brilliantly by Mr Graham. Please Sherrilyn, pretty please! Have Mr Graham do all your books!
