Publisher's summary

There's a new shop on Seattle's Blossom Street - a flower store called Susannah's Garden, right next door to A Good Yarn. Susannah Nelson, the owner, has just hired a young widow named Colette Blake. A couple of months earlier, Colette had abruptly quit her previous job - after a brief affair with her boss. Now, to her dismay, he's suddenly begun placing weekly orders for flower arrangements!

Susannah and Colette both join Lydia Goetz's new knitting class. Lydia's previous classes have forged lasting friendships, and this one is no exception. But Lydia and her sister, Margaret, have worries of their own. Margaret's daughter, Julia, has been the victim of a random carjacking, and the entire family is thrown into emotional chaos.

Then there's Alix Townsend. Her wedding to Jordan Turner is only months away - but she's not sure she can go through with it. Her love for Jordan isn't in question; what she can't handle is the whole wedding extravaganza engineered by her mentor, Jacqueline, with the enthusiastic cooperation of her future mother-in-law. A reception at the country club and hundreds of guests she's never even met - it's just not Alix.

Like everyone else in Lydia's knitting class, Alix knows there's a solution to every problem...and that another woman can usually help you find it!

Great book!

I have had this book for a long time and I finally listened to it because I was looking for a book that was lighthearted and one that didn't have killing or murder in it. This book fit the bill nicely, as do all of Debbie Macomber's books. I liked the narrator and she put good voices to the characters. The voices didn't sound fake or unrealistic like so many narrators do. I will have to find the next book in the series because I want to find out if Lydia and Brad get their baby adopted or not and how Collette and Christian get along as well as Alex and Jordan. You won't be disappointed if you use your credit to buy this book. It has knitting and floral shops and just a little bit of intrigue. Just enough to make it interesting but not so much as to make you sick to your stomach because it is so raw with real life history and murder.

Loved the story, not so much the narrator

I really loved the characters and storylines in this book. However, I preferred the narrator used for the first two audit books in the Blossom St series. That narrator had a much gentler tone particularly for Lydia and the men didn’t sound gruff. Unfortunately, the narrator for this box sounded like a dogmatic school teacher reading aloud to her students. For audio books, the narrator can make or break a story for me, regardless of how good the plot line is.

I truly enjoy this series!
I have the narrator a4 star review because I was use to the previous narrator & found that I missed her!
I personally believe that the same narrator for each novel is better.

every male sounds like a chain-smoking pirate

Narrator made every male in the story, except Jordan, sound like a chain-smoking pirate.. every female in her 30's sounded like an 8-year old in a 1940's movie. Struggled to finish this very weak and predictable story line.
