Not my favorite beach boo

The other books by Georgia Bockoven had more substance to the plot. This particular book was more like three short stories and didn’t draw me in like some of her other box. The narrator was difficult to listen to as there was no change or excitement in her voice. The male voices she created made you feel like they didn’t want to even be a part of the monologue. Not my favorite beach book.

Ok but predictable

Any additional comments?

The narrator is obviously well trained and has perfect diction, enunciating each word perfectly, however that's not how real people speak and I found it distracting and kind of annoying.

I knew this would be a "FANTASTIC" listen!

Where does Another Summer rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It ranks up there with Nancy Thayer and Elin Hilderbrand books! I listened to the first book and expected them to bring in the original characters but Georgia Bockoven continued with a few of the old and brought in a few mentioned slightly in the first book and the second generation who are mostly grown.

What other book might you compare Another Summer to and why?

I would compare with Nancy Thayer, Elin Hilderbrand those who are excellent writers of beach books!!

Which character – as performed by Joell A. Jacob – was your favorite?

I think Maria was my favorite along with Paul. However, all characters were very good!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Cheryl brought three girls to The Beach House to live for the summer while Andrew wanted her there to get their romance going but this under privileged kids made something and learned from their summer experience!

Any additional comments?

I was excited to see Georgia Bockoven's books in audio!! I knew she would have an excellent storyline and she most certainly didn't disappoint me!
