Where does Angels of Bourbon Street rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I have enjoyed all the Bourbon Street Books but in this one we get to learn more about Jade past and the past of her family. I really look forward to the next book I hope it will bring out more about the relationship with her coven. I was also excited to see in this book we learn more about her true feelings about her powers. If you haven't read the other books I recommend you do. Deanna Chase has given us another great story and I look forward to the next one.
What did you like best about this story?
The secrets being revealed.
Have you listened to any of Traci Odom’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have always like Traci Odom and I listen to her in other books as well and she does a great job.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes I won't spoil it for the other readers but it had to do with time she felt in danger by someone she thought she could trust. I don't know why but I wanted to cry for her. Also when she thought she loose her best friend.
Any additional comments?
I really do recommend you get all the Bourbon Street Stories. I have enjoyed all the books and I hope others will as well.

I've enjoyed the first four books with the romance bundle. I'm not sure I would have spent four credits on them but happy they have them available this way. I really enjoy the characters just wish they would move along sometimes with a little less beating of the chest. Audible 20 review sweepstakes entry

This is a great book; this is the fourth book in the Jade Calhoun series written by Deanna Chase and narrated by Traci Odom. Despite having lost half her soul, coven leader Jade Calhoun is determined to lead a regular life, and that means planning her wedding. With just five weeks until the big event, plans are halted when Jade falls victim to a ghost possession. Unfortunately, it appears the only way to keep the ghost at bay is to spend twenty-four hours a day with the last person Jade wants to share a house with, the angel who has the other half of her soul. This is a great set with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator Traci Odom did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
I love this series and was so anxious to get started on this book. This review is for both the ebook and the audio because I have both and read some then listened. The story moved at a fast pace. Until around the middle where it was a little repetitive in as Jade never got answers from her mother or anyone. She would ask and every time they would sort of stutter and refuse to answer. It was dragging out for about a chapter. I was so upset. I was thinking I would only give it two or three stars. And by the time we got answers, I had already guessed kind of and it wasn't as much of a shock. I also had an idea of the answer at the ending. But I didn't have a clue about what would be expected of Jade and Kane. I will say that it picked up and was so good at the end that it made up for it and was well worth the wait. I just hope the author doesn't ever do that again. Even if the book is shorter without the repetitiveness, it would be better. I can't wait to see what is in store for them in the next book. It's going to get really interesting as there is now something totally new in their life and it will be so busy and hectic. I know a lot of reviews said these books were too much alike. I would like to say to that, just hang on because the best is yet to come in this book. It's the beginning of something totally new. I'm still not crazy about Jade's mom. The narrator is one of my favorite narrators. She has the most pleasant voice that is just uplifting. You can feel her spirit shining through all the books she does.
What did you love best about Angels of Bourbon Street?
After the whole demon witch angel disaster, She learning more and more that having only part of soul, leaves her vulnerable to other issues one certain pesky ghost. (I love the voice she does for ghost fyi esp that laugh)

Wedding plans, Possession by ghosts, HUGE secret is reveled shock everyone to their very core including the one didn't know they were part of Secret.

Once again they have to go before council while planning wedding doing all that and keeping ghost at bay. Once again Everythig is not all Light and Dark there are Shadows with both.

And by now she should know Never to jump to conclusion or souls and lives will pay price, can she live with the cost of souls including her own?
love it. an incredible book. everything from sadness, action, family and drama. can't wait for the next book.
I love the progression the author is making within the series. The only thing that is annoying is the constant self doubt and Kane's clinginess ...it's like damn will you chill out and let her sort this out. You can be supportive without being clingy. But the relationship side they have gotten very steamy, which was cool. The story was kinda creepy scary at the beginning. SPOILER ALERT: still didn't find out who the ghost couple was in the front of Bea's house. I kinda want to know, oh well next book.
My favourite so far Jade and her friends are just awesome I love the supernatural mysteries they solve also love the relationship between Jade and Kane and the other friends in their group are all becoming great characters in their own right especially Pyper.
Jade is coming into her own as a white witch and she is an awesome work in progress lol finding out more about her heritage is great to I'm hoping we get to see more of her Mum and Gwen in future stories to.
I thought the storyline dragged a little in the middle of the book. I like the narrator. She does a good job.
What did you love best about Angels of Bourbon Street?
The complex character development. I love that Jade had big emotional struggles to face and that the characters are often not clearly good vs bad but that often the 'bad guy' in the books is someone in a crap situation that they never chose to be in. It's so much more interesting than simply a bad person.
What other book might you compare Angels of Bourbon Street to and why?
It reminds me of Mindy Klasky's books, though I think it is a bit more intense but it has the fun, humorous and paranormal aspects of Mindy writing.
What does Traci Odom bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I like the accents she sometimes adds to characters. I never read them that way in my own head and it adds a lot of colour to the characters.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Any additional comments?
This is a great series and I strongly recommend it. Make sure you read it in order as the plot really progresses in each book and the characters grow and develop (especially Jade). You will find a lot of spoilers if you read out of order.
What disappointed you about Angels of Bourbon Street?
The continued lack of back bone shown by Jade, the main character - to add insult to injury the Angels who sentenced her to death through no fault of her own, now force her to work for them and she just accepts it... The doormat is strong in this one.
You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The narrator is good.
