Publisher's Summary

Dating Matthew O’Brien - a playboy and a younger man - cost Laila Riley her career and her parents’ respect. A high price, even for love - and when Laila decides it was just a fling, she breaks it off, despite Matthew’s objections.

But the O’Brien family has other ideas, and they conspire to get Laila to join them on a Dublin holiday. It’s a great time to get away from it all, but Laila has reservations about the trip. Matthew’s bound to be there, and she’s far from immune. What if she can’t resist temptation?

Meanwhile, the O’Briens are in an uproar over matriarch Nell’s unexpected romance with an old flame. Will she follow her heart despite the risks? And will Laila discover that some risks are actually once-in-a-lifetime opportunities?

Okay short book

I have read all the O'Brien books and they are pretty good. I felt this one fell short of the punch. It was okay. I am not too disappointed I got it. Sometimes I listen to the books more than once.

This was a short book yet it seemed like it dragged a bit. Maybe because it didn't hold my interest and anticipation.
This one I am not sure I will listen to several times. All in all I will be happy to continue with the O'brien family.

Grama's are widsom

What did you love best about An O' Brien Family Christmas?

The various stories with the main story kept the book moving. Sappy gave way to confrontational and each family member was involved. Wished for more distinctive character voices...but in a family many sound alike. Christmas for me is always a good theme. The results of finding lost love is a good cliff hanger.

Love the O'Brians but

Would you try another book from Sherryl Woods and/or Christina Traister?

Yes, I really like the series and the O'Brians. I do wish that Sherryl Woods wrote a bit better and stopped using the same words and phrases over and over. Why does she use the word
