Publisher's Summary

It starts with a stolen kiss under an English sky, and it ends with a walk down the aisle. It starts with the President sending his best friend to woo me on his behalf, and it ends with my heart split in two.

It starts with buried secrets and dangerous desires...and ends with the three of us bound together with a hateful love sharper than any barbed wire.

My name is Greer Galloway, and I serve at the pleasure of the President of the United States. This is the story of an American Queen.

    "Just OK"

    I wasn't really impressed with this book. The charters really got on my last nerve. I really just had the feeling that the two men should of just been together. It was a different plot with the POTSUS, First Lady and the VP. I feel like it was too much back and fourth with the past and present, and not enough chemistry with the Female lead.

    This is Chelsea, not Brandon. I'm not sure how to change that. Voracious romance reader, addicted audio listener.

    "Not my thing"

    Ok first the good: Sierra Simone is a talented writer. Her creativity and originality are to be applauded. I'm not bored reading it. But...
    Maybe I was spoiled by Priest. I went into this expecting angst and love and passion. Instead of that I get a woman who enjoys being degraded and hurt. I guess I didn't really understand this was going to be a story that involved being hit by belts and such. Furthermore, I think at heart this is a story of two male best friends deeply in love that have found a female plaything as an accessory. As much as I'm told about how they love her, their actions speak otherwise and I'm left feeling like I don't like any of them very much. There was no one I was rooting for, and I spent the majority of the time thinking, why don't any of them love the other enough to be fully committed or value themselves enough to demand commitment. Just not my thing.

    "hard to follow, cliffhanger ending"

    Pay close attention when listening. Past and present is easy to get confused. Be prepared for the kinky stuff. It was a long story, but still didn't end, but rather just stopped in a cliffhanger. No excuse for not having an ending to a 12 hour book.

    "Hottest Listen In a Long time…"

    What a great book, I loved how she developed the story. The books I enjoy the most has a perfect balance of hotness and story and this book had a perfect balance. The complicated relationships was the best part. I am a book hopper and I listened to this book in 2 sittings. Love this book!!!!!

    "Yes, Mr. President indeed!"
    Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

    Yes, definitely! Stephanie Rose does an incredible job narrating all of the characters so perfectly and distinctly! This book was crazy hot, but also keeps the listener engaged and curious to find out what's going to happen next.

    What did you like best about this story?

    I loved unraveling the mystery between the past and the present and how all the characters were intertwined and connected. There is some seriously sexy times in this book that pushed my comfort zone in the best way!

    What about Stephanie Rose’s performance did you like?

    Stephanie Rose was phenomenal! I loved how she voiced each character so perfectly to their personality and distinctly so that there was no confusion about who was speaking. Her male voices were amazing! Ash was rough and gravelly, while Embry was lighter and more playful. Just wow!

    Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    YES! I was dying to know what would happen next and the scenes with Greer, Ash, and Embry had me feeling especially thankful for headphones because they were smoking hot! An incredible book and start to the trilogy!

    Any additional comments?

    Since this is book 1 in the series, please keep in mind that the book does end with a cliffhanger (and what a doozy it is!) I can't wait for more!!

    "Absolutely scandalous!!"

    The President, the perfect woman and the Vice President. All are connected in some way for over a decade. Connected together but barriers run long and hurts run deep. And there are plenty of skeletons in the closet.

    The story will have you gasping; in shock, in pain and desire. Enticing!

    The book was great and the re-read was delicious!! On to American Prince in preparation for the anticipated release of American King!

    "Wow! I thought I was prepared… turns out I wasn't"

    Wow. I’m breathless – at a loss for words – panting, reeling, craving more!

    I have stalled reading – or in this case listening to – the American Queen series by Sierra Simone for so damn long. And not because I feared I wouldn’t like it, no, quite the opposite. It was for fear it would wreck me, ruin me and consume me more than it should, more than was good for me. And, god, was I right. I started listening to it late last night – a mistake in itself – and almost pulled an all-nighter. We now have noon, and with the book being 12 hours long, you can imagine how much sleep I got last night. I craved more Greer, Ash and Embry more than a good few hours of sleep. …and I probably shouldn’t even mentioned that I started the second book already. Ooops! Talk about an addiction!

    Still, this series is one of those you either hate or love. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out which category I fall into. I’m a sucker for MMF ménages, especially executed like this one, where person whose view we get has no clue what kind of elicit discoveries lie ahead of her. Sierra Simone most definitely knows how to weave an extraordinary and complex storyline. And it’s not the heat and passion and kink alone – it’s the whole setting of presidents, vice presidents, wizards and secrets which makes this book irresistible and will possibly be one of the two ménage series that ruin me for any other books of this genre – which is the exactly the reason why I’ve put off reading for so long.

    I love how the blurb is so impossibly vague, coercing the reader to go in almost blindly, and I already feel like I have spoiled it enough, so I’ll stop revealing anything more about the plotline. If you know Sierra Simone’s style, you know you’re in for a wild ride, full of secrets and deception, taboo, a plot-twist or two to completely throw you off balance and so much emotion, desire and hotness that will have your pulse pounding and our jaw dropping.

    Two intense and powerful men – in fact, the most powerful men in America – and a woman already well versed in the usually mundane world of politics turn it into anything but.

    An electrifying and thrilling read that absolute floored me – and I’m just glad I can deal with that freaking cliffhanger a lot better knowing the sequel is already waiting for me.

    I want to say so much more, but I won’t, because then my review won’t be (almost) spoiler-free anymore. Just know this: If you like the more shocking and kinkier side of romance, you cannot miss out on this astonishing series by Ms. Simone!

    ~~~
    Stephanie Rose is wonderful at bringing especially Greer to life, all her voices distinctive and even the male ones feel real and sound sexy. I only know a few female narrators who really can pull that off (which is why I prefer duet narration). My only slightly negative point is that sometimes I didn’t feel like the emotions were conveyed as much as they should, especially during the intimate scenes.
    "the Queen of books"
    This is One of the best books ever.
    the heart break. the love. the passion. the buildup. the sex. the drame.. it has it all. Sierra is by far one of the best authers I know of. I love her version of this Classic fairytale the way she made it a modern story. And the idéer of a president of usa who loves a man as much as a woman is amazing. if only we lived in a world where this could happen.
    i must say this series is One of the most erotic series there is. not that that is all there is to this book But the sex scenes that there is is so well written that there is nobody that can do it this well.
    And god damn that ending...
