2014 EPIC Award Finalist

Amy Dover’s dream of training horses has come with a price. The pressures of her career - not to mention an oppressive husband and business partner - have sucked out all the joy the horses used to bring her. After her husband’s sudden death, Amy leaves that world behind and takes a job as a farmhand so she can find her passion - and herself.

Dustin King has more than enough on his plate. He’s got a full barn and a packed training roster that includes rescued horses who need more attention than he can spare. The last thing he wants to deal with is a woman who’s unnervingly indifferent toward horses, no matter how attractive she is.

Except Amy isn’t as indifferent as Dustin thought. In fact, working with two traumatized horses might be just what she needs, and as Amy and Dustin bond with the rescued horses, they also bond with each other. Dustin reignites something else Amy thought she’d lost forever. No matter how much they try to resist, the spark that draws them together keeps getting hotter.

But Amy has known from the beginning that she’ll one day go back to her old life. She just didn’t plan on having someone to leave behind this time....

A book not to be overlooked

This is an amazing read that will pull you in. Make you cry, laugh out loud, and make you wish there is a happy ending. The narration brought you that much deeper into the story. I enjoy books where you get both sides of what is happening and how they are feeling as the story progresses. I truly recommend this book to all, you will not be disappointed. Just know there are a few hot and steamy places in the book but so does life.

Running away was the best decision

Amy was running from her past. Normally, that decision is never a good one. For Amy, it was the best thing she could have done. Her love for horses led her straight to a horse farm. Dustin hired her to help with his very busy stables. As Amy's abilities shine through her deception, Dustin realized that like the horses he rescued, Amy was in need of something as well. Dustin helped Amy face her demons and be able to move forward. Their romance blossomed against Amy's plan.

I absolutely loved the narration team of Lia Langola and Michael Ferraiuolo. The story came to life and became more like a movie. Lia Langola has a soft yet sultry voice that brought out the emotions and attitudes of each character. Michael Ferraiuolo has a voice that is easy to listen to. His voice is a perfect compliment to Ms Langola's voice. Mr Ferraiuolo brought out the best and the worst in each character through his narration.

I highly recommend this must read book!
