Publisher's summary

Dear Listener:

Welcome back to my other world - the rules are a little different here.

Life is complicated for Lydia Smith. She's working at that tacky, third-rate museum, Shrimpton's House of Ancient Horrors, trying to salvage her career in para-archaeology - and dating the most dangerous man in town. Just when she thinks she might be getting things under control, she stumbles over a dead body and discovers that her lover has a secret past that could get him killed. Just to top it off, there's trouble brewing underground in the eerie, glowing green passageways of the Dead City.

Of course, all of these problems pale in comparison to the most pressing issue: Lydia has been invited to the Restoration Ball and she hasn't got a thing to wear.

If, like me, you sometimes relish your romantic suspense with a paranormal twist, join me for After Glow.

Sincerely,

Jayne Ann Krentz, writing as Jayne Castle

great followup to After Dark

After Glow was like part 2 of After Dark. It finished up some story lines and started some new ones. I love the Harmony series.

One of her best

This is one of Jayne's best. Because this is the second book centered around Lydia and Emmett, there's much more character development. And, they face problems that use both normal and paranormal skills to solve. Great romance, some lovely dialogue, andorra of fun.

LOVED IT!

I loved this continuing love story of Lydia and Emmett. Of course you can't read these books and not fall madly in love with the dust bunnies. I WANT ONE!!!!

Best book ever

The story was hard to stop listening to. The voice of the narrator was very captivating. It keep you wanting to hear more and she made you feel as if you was there. Great story. Hats off to both the writer and the story teller.

No Surprises but Fun

The entire series dealing with the paranormal pretty much runs along the same lines. The difference is the actual personalities of characters which makes it interesting. I won't say it's the best thing I've ever read but it's fun when you just want something light no real thought.

Love dust bunnies

I have enjoyed this series. I am listening to every one again in order. So far I am enjoying the first two a second time around.

Strong characters, Original story

Would you listen to After Glow again? Why?

I have read this book several times already. I love Jayne Castle's world of Harmony. Her books typically have a happy ending, but I love that. The story is unique, the characters likable and entertaining.

What did you like best about this story?

I really enjoyed the dust bunny secret, psychic connection.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorites scenes are usually when the girl and boy finally get together. After all, it is a romance book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I love the connection between the hero/heroine and the dust bunny.

Dated

I’m afraid the first two books in the series, After Dark and After Glow, don’t hold up well over time. The male protagonist is a little too physically aggressive and emotionally manipulative. While later books in the series don’t have that problem, these two are definitely showing their 20 years of age. If you can put that aside, the story is pretty good, split between the two books.
