Made me laugh & cry....Loved It

I loved this book. It made me both laugh and cry. I didn't want to turn my IPOD off. The author really played with your emotions. My heart ached for the mom as she had to face loosing her son to a horrible disease. The sacrifices she made and the never failing faith she always showed her son, made an awesome read. Plus I felt the narrator did a great job as well. I'll listen to this one again.

This story makes you cry, laugh and sigh...

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Oh absolutely. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. A single mom with a very sick child looking for someone who can fund research for a cure of her son's disease. Any mother can relate to the story because when you have a sick child you will do anything to save him. Even the cheese parts like her

What was one of the most memorable moments of Accidentally Yours?

The ending, although I can't explain why because I would ruin the story to anyone who has not listened to it... But the ending is good, very very good. ;)

What does Therese Plummer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Therese Plummer is the best narrator ever. Her voice is pleasant and you can always differentiate each character.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, it's nice, sweet, romantic, sexy... One of my favorite Susan Mallery books.

Any additional comments?

I recommend this book to all moms and to people who like Harlequin type romantic stories.

Improbable ... But Good Story!

I am a prolific fan of reading (including audio book). I read a book or two of Susan Mallery’s a few years ago when I started down this reading path. I branched out to other interests until recently and decided to listen to this (another of) Mallery’s book(s). This particular story is a bit improbable concerning the search for and finding — just in time — a cure for a rare childhood disease! However, the love story built around it is creative, lively, and sweet, not to mention redeeming for the characters.

I am 72 yrs old, and I enjoyed the story very much. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a funny, fun, and lively love story. While built around unfortunate and life altering (and sad) circumstances, you never feel sucked down into despair. There are always light moments to stop that momentum.

I gave the story and overall 4 stars as there is room for improvement on the story even though it is entertaining as it stands. I gave 3 stars to the reader. She was adequate, but lacked ability to change her voice to completely and clearly define the different characters. You could tell it was a strain for her voice — or lack of imagination and creativity. However ... she did a whole lot better than I could have done!! Enjoy a good read!
