Publisher's summary

It may be cold outside, but the snow begins to melt when an unlikely couple comes together during the holidays…

Christmas is right around the corner, but after creating a society scandal, New York heiress Melody Hascall-Ebons has nowhere to turn. Cut off by her family for running away with an actor - who turned out to be using her for publicity - Mel is penniless, homeless, and disgraced. There’s only one place to go, and that’s back to the fiancé she ditched. But instead of her ex, she finds his friend Daveed Rafik. The handsome military translator disarms Mel with his easy smile and surprising sympathy. But as she struggles to get her life on track, the last thing Mel needs is to fall into the strong arms of her ex-fiancé’s best friend.

Counter-terrorism expert Sheikh Daveed Rafik has spent his career dealing with delicate and dangerous situations, but none of them compares to Melody Hascall-Ebons. He’s supposed to be helping his friend Murphy find his missing sister, not consoling the spoiled rich girl who dumped their buddy Heath. But the more he learns about Melody, the more he likes. With her unexpected intelligence and distinctive beauty, Melody calls to him in powerful ways. But when the woman he is arranged to marry shows up, Daveed’s highly organized life suddenly gets very complicated.

The streets of New York are steeped in holiday cheer, but can Daveed and Melody thaw the ice around their hearts enough to make room for love?

Leslie does it again . She has done an outstanding work writing this story .
And D.C Cole has shone narrating this Xmas gift. His voice is strong , smooth and he does the characters perfect

Hero is Daveed . Heroine is Melody .

You will love this story. There are many levels, but you will wonder when things are going to work out.
Melody gets a raw deal from her family and the guy she’s seeing . First off her family cuts her off money wise , because they believe she’s being used by her boyfriend. And then she finds out her boyfriend is using her for a publicity stunt .

Daveed is a counter-Terriiest , he has dealt with a lot . But people doesn’t know what he does. People just see him as a Sheik . Once he sees Melody he has an instant attraction and wants to find a way to keep her

Great Narration

Leslie is such a creative writer! I really enjoy her Sheikh's stories. This one is quite different and the story develops in the US and not overseas. The characters are interesting and likable. Christmas story in July is a great break from the heat outside! I enjoyed the unique engaging story.

Narration was excellent and bought the story to life. I always enjoy listening to D.C. Cole!

This story is fairly short with just over 4 hours of listening time. I enjoyed being able to get through it in one sitting! I'm already looking forward to book 2!

...the right temperature to heat up any bookshelf.

Fate has struck a mighty blow and their hearts may never be the same. The Lion of the Desert is brought low by the heiress of scandal. Friendships are tested and boundaries are crossed as temperatures rise to the breaking point. Melody and Daveed are brought together by a desperate situation. She has nowhere to turn and he just happens to be in the right place at the wrong time. Amid her front page scandal and his judgmental attitude, a connection is formed. Will love light the way this Christmas? Or will the obstacles prove to be insurmountable? A Sheikh for Christmas is a battle of wills with just the right temperature to heat up any bookshelf.

Good One

This is a good story. There's break up, make up, dealing with ex's, a prince, a seal team, everything that makes a good romance.

A Sheikh For Christmas

Melody finds herself cut off from everything she has ever known and no place to go. So she goes to be her ex for a place to stay for the night, only he is not home. Instead his friend, Daveed, is in residence. She is the last person he wants to deal with, but his big heart won't let him throw her out. He has to help her so she does not wind up on the street. And in helping her he can't help but fall for her. The narration was awesome, and really brings the book to life.

Christmas in Summer!

This is the first book in the All I want for Christmas is... Series. I like this Christmas Story… in July! It's refreshing! This story is different than the other written by Leslie North and I loved it! I love the main characters, Daveed and Melody, but also the secondary characters, Heath and Murphy. Melody is a strong, resourceful, feisty and hilarious woman. Daveed is a very organized, supportive and protective man. The story is also filled with a little suspense with the disappearance of Aileen, Murphy's sister. Now, I can't wait for the next book in the Series! The narration is really great. I love DC Cole's voice. He has a beautiful voice, easy to listen. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

The Start of Something New

Leslie North has such a panache for writing incredible stories. I was pulled into this book featuring Melody and Rafik. Their relationship doesn't start out as I would expect, as Melody had just jilted his best friend (Heath) literally at the alter. In addition to that, the someone special (Murphy's sister Aileen) has disappeared. Rafik, Murphy, Heath and Melody conspire to figure out where she is. Melody is known to think outside the box and adds so much to the group. New York City and the friendship between the three men is the tie-in for this series "All I want for Christmas is ..." This book is a standalone listen and the introduction to a great series. The narration by DC Cole is awesome. He has a way with words that melts me. I love the emotions he puts into his performance. I loved the imagery in this book to, and want some hot cocoa.

Great Narration, Engaging Story!

D. C. Cole is always one of my go to narrators. He always does such a great job with the voices and the emotions in the stories he narrates; thus you get a thoroughly entertaining listening experience. This story was an engaging romance. The characters were likeable and the storyline was interesting. Unfortunately there is an unresolved mystery so it does end with a cliffhanger, which was a disappointment. This book was given to me for free and I provided this unbiased review.
