Can Clay and Nora find a way to be together when everything is trying to tear them apart?
I love these stories and the sex scenes are fantastic if a bit short. I just don’t like when they resist for stupid reasons. Need more after the wedding information.
What made the experience of listening to A SEAL's Vow the most enjoyable?
The story seems more real having it read out loud. The voices seem clearer and the scenes are like watching a movie in my head.
What was one of the most memorable moments of A SEAL's Vow?
When Clay almost lost Nora to the bad guy. He knew if he lost Nora it would destroy him. He really loved her even though she had treated him and everyone else in such an awful, mean way.
Which scene was your favorite?
The ending where Clay and Nora are in their little house. I can't really say much more without giving too much away. Nora finally showed a sweeter side of who she was.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes although I got so frustrated with Nora I needed a break from her.
Any additional comments?
I really enjoy Ms Seton's books but this was my least favorite not because it wasn't a good story but because I really disliked Nora. From book 1 she has been an awful person, she never had anything good to say, always negative. Not only was she mean to Clay and the men in the story she was very mean to her friends. There is plenty of suspense in this story that keep me listening but I'm glad I'm done with Nora's story. I will continue with this series as I want to find out how the community turns out and how the other guys "get their girl".
I loved this story from the beginning to the end. It is well written and you would love Clay and Nora.
If you could sum up A SEAL's Vow in three words, what would they be?
Romantic
Suspenseful
Wonderful
What other book might you compare A SEAL's Vow to and why?
Not sure.
What does Eric G. Dove bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He was a great voice for the story.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I was always rooting for Clay to win Nora over.
This is the second book in Cora Seton’s SEALs of Chance Creek series. It can definitely stand alone, but the story is richer for having read A SEALs Oath first. In this story, Clay is a former SEAL, part of a group building a sustainable community on a TV reality show. While not happy about the TV aspect, Clay is determined to design and build the little houses for the community. Nora and her friends are on the ranch seeking peace to live a Regency era lifestyle and open a B & B, but they are drawn into the reality show. Clay knows Nora is the one for him, but Nora wants to move slowly. Throw in Clay’s dad, Nora’s stalker, and cameras everywhere, and Clay has his work cut out for him!
Cora Seton has written a book with interesting characters, vivid descriptions, and enough actual information to make the story more than just another SEAL romance. I enjoyed Clay and Nora, Sue and the Crow, sustainability, and the mystery/suspense of the stalker. This book has depth.
Eric G. Dove does an excellent job reading the story. His characterizations and delivery style are easy to listen to and believable. This was a 5-star read, and is also worth five stars for listening enjoyment!
Loving this series. The books all show that love is more important than everything else, but you can't have true love without trust and respect. Cora Seton writes all of her books with such heart that you have to enjoy them. There is also a lot of action to keep you on the edge of your seat.
A Seal's Vow is absolutely one of my favourites out of all that Cora has written! I adore this new story line with sustainable living and living to ones true passions. It's ringing true to me in my real life right now and its wonderful actually getting to listen to the story as well as having read it, it gives me a sense of hope! Love the stories that have a good element of suspense and this does not disappoint! Clay and Nora's dynamic is wonderful and so very real, there was nothing forced or insincere about there reactions to situations and there wasn't any conflict for conflicts sake as I sometimes see in stories. This was perfect! Listening to the story, helped bring it to life in a way I didn't think possible! The narrator has a great voice!
Please everyone purchase this book (and ALL the others if you haven't already), great story, great cast of characters and great themes. Absolute 5 star book!
