Publisher's summary

Jed Todd has been looking for Lily since the day she was abducted along the Oregon Trail. This time he is the wagon master. Word comes that his trapper friends have found and bought Lily for him. He rides fast and fierce to get to her and is relieved to find her in one piece. The way he felt about her before she'd been stolen wasn't a figment of his imagination. From the moment he saw her again, he knew his love was real.

Lily isn't well received by the others on the wagon train and realizes that having a relationship with Jed would only hinder him in life. He'd never be accepted in polite society. Once in Oregon, she plans to leave for Washington territory to live alone. Attempts on her life and the life of a young girl make Lily realize that she and Jed share a love worth searching for.

unbelievable

I can't believe someone who got so much stabs and hit with rocks still living or not serious injury
it's when on too long to be believable
it could be a good story with all the stabbing and blood the narrator voice didn't even change it's like she's reading in slow motion she's makes the story dull I hope the 4 book will have a different narrator

More love on the Oregon Trail

I love this book for all the emotions it provoked in me. Like when they were rude to Lilybecause she was kidnapped by Indians and the ignorant people in the wagontrain thought that she now my side with the Indians. I got excited and dreaming whenever Jeb came close to kissing. This is a great book and Holly Holt is an awesome narrator who I love very much and think she did a great job. OK that sounded weird I meant I love when she now writes books I buy. I don’tdon’t know her I just really like her voice… I don’t love love her… OK you get it right?

Wonderful from page one!!

I was so glad to read the story of these two long lost loves! I was so saddened when Lily was first taken by the Indians and just knew in my heart that one day Jed would find his first love again. I was thrilled that Jed not only found her but proved himself to every bit the wonderful man that his older brothers were! Now on to Book 4!!

Eli's Story does not disappoint!

The Todd brother's saga continues with Jed's story. Jed is the new trail master leading a group of emigrants to the west coast. Two years ago on another wagon train, a young woman was captured by Indians and Jed has not stopped looking for her. After searching and searching, he finally finds her, frees her and invites Lily to join the wagon train to live with his family in Oregon.

Lily was captured by Indians while journeying with her family to Oregon two years prior. After living in brutal conditions, Lily finds her freedom and is reunited with Jed and his team. Lily decides to go with the wagon train to Oregon only to find that they are just as brutal and judgmental as the tribe she was living with. Only in Jed and his team, does she find refuge. Not everyone is who they seem to be on this train also, so Lily finds herself embattled not only with prejudice, but also a mystery that could turn deadly.

I was waiting for Jed's story. Kathleen did not disappoint! This story has just enough adventure, intrigue and romance to make the story exciting and interesting! This book can be read as a stand-alone, but is even better if you read the first two! Holly Holt did a great job narrating this story! :)

: Kathleen Ball

A clean historical western fiction. There is plenty of mystery, adventure, and romance. There are culprits with the wagon train, but what are they really up to? Will the group make it to Oregon without losing anyone? This listen will keep you listening to find out.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Holly Holt brought the characters to life.

Intriguing and excellently performed romance

2 years ago, Lily was captured by Indians. When she gets reunited with Jed and his team, she is not welcomed as she would have hoped. There is someone trying to hurt her, while Jed is trying to save her since he has developed feelings for her.

This was a cute, intriguing and romantic adventure. It didnt disappoint and kept me interested throughout. This story was ok to listen to as a stand alone, although i would like to hear the first 2 as well!

Holly does a fantastic job narrating. She has excellent intonation and energy during her performance. I cant wait to hear more from her!

Excellent, clean western romance

I asked to receive this Audible book and voluntarily wrote this unbiased review. This romance story is filled with intrigue, mystery, friendship, and love that endures even when Jed and Lily are separated. This story will evoke so many emotions from the listener. As a listener, I could not wait for them to get married. Jed is such a caring, respectful, and loving man. Lily is a tough and loving woman. The narrator does an outstanding job of portraying the emotions of the characters. She makes this an exciting western to listen to. I highly recommend this Audible book. The author and narrator create a western similar to the ones I grew up with. This is a story that persons of any age can listen to.

Great love story

I have not read the previous books so this is a good standalone too.

In this story we follow Jed Todd and Lily. Lily was captured by the Sioux Indians 2 years ago and survived brutal treatment but learned how to survive. Jed is now a trail wagon master leading a group to Oregon. Jed has looked for Lily the past 2 years that she has been gone and was finally reunited with her. Lily thought once she returned to civilization that she would be welcomed for surviving and coming back to her people but she is treated as if she is dirty and a savage herself. The only refuge she finds is with Jed and his close team members. Attempts on her life, mysteries beyond her imagination and turns around every bend. This story is surly to keep you on your toes!

Kathleen Ball is a new writer for me and she did an excellent job bringing to life the story of two separated people in love from back then. Its got adventure, mystery, and romance. Its a great all around story. Holly Holt did a fabulous job narrating this one! Her voice is great and she brings in the right emotions and really brings the words to life!!

I just love the story.

This is a great story of a young lady who returned after being captured by the Sioux. Of course, she was not welcome by the people except for family members. The story is filled with actions and surprises. Definitely, a book/audible to get.
