Disappointing
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
This book may work for young listeners, but I found it too cliched and a bit juvenile.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
I am not sure if my inability to engage with book was the narrator, the storyline, or the storyline and the narrator. Most of time, the telling seemed over exaggerated and overly cliched. It may be that the author used too many adjectives for a story with limited depth. Listening to the text reminded me of how it feels to view an over acted black and white film during the silent film era.

I had to stop listening
I got to chapter 7. It is unusual for me to not like both the narrator and book. I felt like I was being yelled at instead of read to. I felt nervous and had to quit. Also, I prefer my characters to be more mature even if they are just teens. Perhaps a teenager would like this book?
