Publisher's summary

Olivia Kiskey needs a change. She’s been working at the same Nodaway Falls, New York, waffle house since she was a teenager; not a lot of upward mobility there. She’s been in love with Tobias, the cook, for the last four years; he's never made a move. Every Saturday night, she gathers with her three best friends—Peach, Millie, and Stacy—and drinks the same margaritas while listening to the same old stories. Intent on shaking things up, she puts her house on the market, buys a one-way ticket to Europe, and announces her plans to her friends... but then she meets Davina Granville, a strange and mystical Southern woman who shows Olivia that there is more to her life than she ever dreamed.

As Liv’s latent magical powers come to the surface, she discovers that having an interesting life is maybe not all it’s cracked up to be. The dark side of someone else’s magic is taking over good people in town, and changing them into vessels of malevolence. Unwilling to cede her home to darkness, she battles the demons of her familial past and her magical present, with those she loves at her side - and in the cross fire. Can the most important things in life—friendship, love, magic, and waffles—get her through the worst that the universe can throw at her?

Open your eyes!

What did you like best about A Little Night Magic? What did you like least?

Ok, I understand suspense, but this is ridiculous. What is with this girl and seeing the obvious. Why does it take her so long to see the truth. First she completely trusts this woman she only met a day ago rather that people she's know all of her life. Stupid. Amanda Ronconi saved the story. There were funny places and sad places but most of the places I was saying,

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The story was good but the dumb main character made me angry.

Do you think A Little Night Magic needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Only if Olivia grows a brain.

Funny, Enjoyable Book

This is funny and enjoyable book. Ms. March did a nice job--story line was good, even though I am not into magical or werewolves. While the story was good, Amanda Ronconi (AR) made the book more enjoyable. I found myself laughing out loud. I stumbled upon her when listening to Molly Harper books--she was so funny. I have been hesitating reading the others for that reason, but I may purchase another, just because AR is narrating... Gosh I seem to be praising AR more than the book. I have said in more than one time in my reviews, the narrator makes the book. Is there any way we can get her to read Susan Elizabeth Phillips' books that will be coming out in July. She would be the perfect person to take Anna Fields (AF) place in SEP's books--man do I miss her-rest in peace AF.

Another Great Author

Not very many books make me want to move into a smaller town than I'm already in and the funny little restaurant in this book makes me want to be a waitress LOL. I loved every moment of this book, looking forward to more! I laughed and was kept on the edge of my seat so it was a very good purchase for me. There's only 2 books so far, I'll be watching for more! The narrator is one of my favorites, of course she did a great job with all the voices I just love to find books done by her! Great job Thanks

Enjoyable but...

Why does the heroine have to start out as someone you just want to Gibbs slap all the time? It's like common sense really does need to be taught.

Fun

A lot of story, hardly any romance. Story seemed rushed at times. Plot was well thought out. Nice diversion from my norm.

A bit of a twist

First for me when purchasing an audio is listening to the readers voice! I learned that the hard way. The reader here is excellent. She seamlessly moves from persons to keep the story flowing.
The hero has a bit of difference in discovering and using her skills. The ending is a fight with consequences!
This was an interesting read and a bit of a step up from a " cosey" .
