Emotional

This was an emotional story centred around a single mother, her daughter and a veteran with PTSD. Bree asks Santa for a Papa for Christmas, Tyler suffers from PTSD and is dealing with severe flashbacks and Kelly has her own secrets. The three of them become involved when they meet at the mall after Bree wanders away from her mom and finds Tyler. She is convinced that he is the Papa she wished for however Kelly believes he kidnaped Bree. This is not a simple Christmas story, but an emotional journey with three people who need each other. I look forward to the next book in the series to see how their story continues. Narration by Elizabeth Klett was good. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Sweet Holiday Story

This is a great story, heartwarming, with a HEA. I like the main characters, Bree, Tyler and Kelly. Tyler is a veteran suffering from PTSD. This story is well written, with compassion, by Rachelle Ayala. The narration is great.

Unique Contemporary Romance

I’m familiar with this author and I really enjoy listening to her stories. This was a very realistic story with a veteran suffering from PTSD. Tyler is nothing like any of the main characters in my other books. He is a homeless man and has been having flashbacks from when he was in the military. Kelly and Bree are also unique characters. Bree doesn’t have a father because Kelly opted for artificial insemination.

Narration was pretty good and brought the story to life.

This is a very unique Christmas romance with some misunderstandings and some ups and downs. Kelly is trying to hide some of her mistakes and makes some bad calls. Both main characters needed second chances.

Beautifully heartfelt story that is unforgettable

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I would recommend this audiobook to all of my book loving friends because this is a wildly entertaining story with a very vibrant narrator that will capture all of your senses and puling you into a world full of devastating heartache and breathtaking love.

What other book might you compare A Father for Christmas to and why?

This is truly a once in a lifetime story that I have yet to find a rival to compare. A special story like this one will live in your heart forever with his wonderful cast of characters and its heart string pulling plot.

Which character – as performed by Elizabeth Klett – was your favorite?

Elizabeth Klett really brought Kelly alive to me, and after her I really enjoyed Tyler. Bree's voice was completely adorable! I can't get over how much a narrator can truly breath new life into a story, and this one did that and so much more!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I wanted to listen to the entire captivating story in one sitting because it is such an intricate and heart-breaking story that it needs that extra bit of careful listening and dedication.

Any additional comments?

I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful narrator, and I hope to listen to more audiobooks from her in the future.

A touching story

This story will pull your heart strings.
Kelly Kennedy, a single mom, down on her luck , Bree, a little girl that wants a father, and Tyler Manning, a homeless veteran make this a touching and at times heart wrenching story.
This story delves with the effects of war. How, many of the brave men and women who fight to keep us safe, often return suffering with PTSD, become homeless, and are offered few options as they try to return to civilian life.
Will Bree get her wish for a Dad? Will Kelly and Tyler find happiness and love as they work through Tyler’s PTSD ?
Another wonderful story by this author.

I was disappointed

The people were supposed to be Christian's but they seem to believe that committing adultery (one of the 10 commandments) isnt wrong. I'm disappointed. It bothers me to have that in a supposed Christian book :( the story was okay otherwise and the narrator did a pretty good job.

Great story

This was great story. It's a very entertaining and enjoyable sweet heartwarming second chance and personal redemption story.

Even though it's a sweet heartwarming story it actually deals with PTSD and the mental/emotional toll it has on a person. It's a shorter story that is well written, flows smoothly, has a really good storyline and great characters that will pull you in immediately and hold your complete attention from start to finish. It's one of those books that you find yourself listening to repeatedly just for the enjoyment of it. It's also a story that had me still thinking about it and the characters long after it was over. My only complaint is that it was over too soon. Although this book has a HEA and you could listen to this book as a standalone there are more stories revolving around these characters and I'm looking forward to continuing with the series.

Great characters that are realistic and believable. You can't help but root for them from the start. Kelly does take a bit longer to warm up to but not long. Tyler was a likable and unique character from the start. A veteran struggling with PTSD you can't help but like him immediately. As they both find out, never judge a person at first glance, impression or past.

Elizabeth Klett did a great job with the narration. Pleasant voice that is easy to listen to for long periods of time. Clearly spoken with a nice even pace. Great character voices. Each character had a distinct personality. She was able to bring the characters, their emotions and the story to life. Very enjoyable.

Feel good Christmas story!

There is no better Christmas story than a little girl getting her wish from Santa! Bree asks Santa for a Papa for Christmas. Now we all know, this is a tall order, even for Santa, but what we don't know is how fate steps in and does it's best to deliver this wish! Tyler, a homeless veteran is thrown into the lives of Bree and her mother Kelly. Kelly is trying to rebuild her life after some unfortunate circumstances, and a relationship just isn't in her current future plans. Tyler is totally unexpected and Kelly is not sure she is ready for him. Tyler suffers from PTSD,and Rachelle Ayala approaches this with such compassion that you can feel both of their pain and frustration while learning to deal with it. Ayala has a way of writing charming romances and includes characters that are believable and issues that are prominent. This story of love, faith and compassion is beautifully written and will fill you with the Christmas Spirit!

Elizabeth Klett is a wonderful narrator, and her performance of this story brings the emotional struggles and love right to your ears.

Hey Santa I want a Tyler too!

Tyler is a homeless vet. He was injured overseas and home on a medical discharge. He suffers from PTSD. He doesn't need much and it doesn't get so cold where he is living so he sleeps in shelters or wherever he can so he can help the orphans in Afghanistan and of other vets.

Kelly was a go-getter, she worked hard climbing the corporate latter doing whatever it took to get to the top. She is the mother of a sweet four-year-old daughter Bree. Now Kelly is just a cleaner and single mom. All Bree wants for Christmas is a dad. Is there really Christmas magic and Santa keep his word?

I love Rachelle Ayala's Christmas stories. They have great characters, usually a sweet pet or cute kid, good plots, a little twist and some Christmas magic to bring us a happy ending. What more could you want in a Romance?

I love these audios. The books are good but Elizabeth Klett gives such personality to each character. I especially loved little Bree's voice. It's a perfect way to make tedious chores much more fun.
