Becca Tate and Jeff Stuart have lived in Captain's Point all their lives. She's an aspiring historian, destined to teach at a major university. He's a journalism student who is tied by circumstances to his father's landscaping firm.

Will the magic of Christmas be enough to hold their budding relationship together, as their lives intertwine with Bill Adams and his wife, Millie, along with star-crossed lovers Big Dan O'Malley and Dora Jean McCarthy?

Two tow trucks, a retired teacher, and a showstopping snowstorm conspire to make this a very special Captain's Point Christmas Eve indeed. Set on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, this story is filled with small-town coziness and an abundance of Christmas spirit. Internationally beloved From Women's Pens authors Annie Acorn and Juliette Hill present the newest entry in their romantic women's fiction family saga Captain's Point Stories, a five-star series written as Charlotte Kent.

A stand-alone novella that will leave you with a grin on your face and a warm glow in your heart, you don't want to miss this one!

Hometown holiday love

Such a heartwarming story, Charlotte Kent and Annie Acorn have captured the lives of those in Captain's Point at Christmas. The holiday spirit is in the air, and there is a lot going on in this town. We meet several couples, each at different stages of their lives, but you can feel the love glue that holds each couple together. There is nothing more magical than new love or the birth of a baby. We are lucky to experience it all in this short story. I especially loved the tow truck drivers, each bringing their expertise to help those in need during the snowstorm on Christmas Eve, and then pulling together to help each other! Charlotte Kent and Annie Acorn have melded this hometown loving feeling across the town, helping each other in times of crisis and pulling together with all the holiday spirit a town can muster.

This is my first narration by Lisa Leslie, and I thoroughly enjoyed her. She brought a wonderful pace along with warm, passionate voicing to each character. It was a pleasure to listen to her.

The Magic of Christmas

This was a brief, lovely story about three couples whose lives cross paths one snowy evening before Christmas. Each couple is at a different stage in their relationship-one couple about to have a child-yet you can feel love and tenderness between each couple. This story helps to remind us about what is truly important in life, namely, being kind and loving to one another, and helping others.

The narrator did a good job.

This was a great story, and I feel all the merrier after listening. It's the perfect kind of story to read/listen to by the fire on a cold dark night... beautiful tale with great characters, loved the story and the narration really gave it that extra special something and now I will exclaim, in Aug... September, MERRY CHRISTMAS! Loved it :)

What Christmas Should Be All About...

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A Christmas Eve in Captain's PointIt is the sweet account of the inhabitants of a coastal village celebrating Christmas as it should be. There are various stories that criss-cross throughout the narration. You'll learn to love the many characters in the book, all ready to live the Christmas spirit to its true meaning by giving it the best chance of making someone else happy. At the end, like all great fairytales, everyone does get his or her own happy ending. Of course this is an ideal world where all people are decent, hard working, and mindful of spreading good will. Unfortunately it is not the world we live in... But it is a Christmas story and pleasantly written and narrated. A good listening experience to put everyone in the true Holiday spirit.

A Christmas Eve in Captain's Point was just okay. Not good not bad just okay. Narration was a little flat...monotone. A one time listen.

Warm and fuzzy, quick holiday listen...

A Christmas Eve in Captain's Point, Captain's Point Stories, Book 61 by Annie Acorn writing as Charlotte Kent was a cute, quick holiday listen. This installment of the series takes place over Christmas Eve, and mainly follows three couples over one snowy evening. It's a sweet listen, and it's as trigger free and as warm and fuzzy as can be. It reminded me of a cute little Christian short story without it technically being a Christian story. Though it was cute and I'm sure that people will love it, it just wasn't really for me. It wasn't a bad or poorly written story, it was just a little to cutesy and fluffy for me. I'm sure that it will be a popular with many listeners though!

Lisa Leslie did a good job narrating this short story. There were a variety of different characters throughout and she did a good job handling them all. As the listener, I was easily able to keep the characters in order because of her narration. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher for an honest review.
