Publisher's summary

Peggy Beldon
Thyme and Tide B and B
44 Cranberry Point
Cedar Cove, Washington

Dear Listener,
I love living in Cedar Cove, but things haven't been the same since a man died in our B and B. Turns out his name was Max Russell, and Bob had known him briefly in Vietnam. We still don't have any idea why he came here and - most important of all - who killed him. Because it now appears that he was poisoned. I sure hope somebody figures it out soon!

Not that we're providing the only news in Cedar Cove these days. I heard that Jon Bowman and Maryellen Sherman are getting married. And Maryellen's mom, Grace, has more than her share of interested men! The question is: Which one is she going to choose? Olivia - I guess it's Olivia Griffin now - is back from her honeymoon, and her mother, Charlotte (who's in her mid-70s at least), seems to have a man in her life, too. I'm not sure Olivia's too pleased.

There's lots of other gossip I could tell you. Come by for a cup of tea and one of my blueberry muffins and we'll talk.

Peggy

Critic reviews

"The books in Macomber's contemporary Cedar Cove series are like a box of assorted Krispy Kremes: light and fluffy but irresistibly delicious and addictive." ( Publishers Weekly)

Moving Right Along in Cedar Point

I'm sticking with the series and still love the folks in Cedar Cove. Glad to say the murder gets solved, and not how you might expect . . . I sew and cook and listen . . . and ponder the goings on . . . Ready for book 5 . . .

Longing for a better narrator

Storyline is interesting. Characters are well rounded. Enjoy the variety of ages of the characters.

The narrator is stiff, formal, and over enunciates. She is unable to create believable voices, especially men.

struggling

I have enjoyed this series, but as it wears on, I am getting really tired of the constant recapping. I understand the need to once and a while remind of the previous book, but honestly, the continous in depth review of what happened two chapters ago is exhausting, and I find myself losing more and more interest.

I could listen to Debbie Macomber books all day

I love this series. Even though I had this book partially figured out the details at the climax were crazier than I thought. Can't wait for the next one.

Whatever

(As posted in Goodreads)
Ehhh, not my cup of tea, and way too much nonsense filler. Far too many individual cases and stories that didn't add anything to the major story. It really wasn't really made clear what was trying to be solved anyway. I suppose that that might've been "part of the charm", but it really just made the whole thing kind of annoying…
